Amp Energy Drink Nutrition Facts

If you're a shift worker then your eating habits are probably not going to be the best, nor are they something that your mum would be proud of! In fact, as most shift workers suffer from constant fatigue and tiredness, they actually use this as an excuse not to eat healthy.

The good news is that if you took the time to make yourself something healthy to eat, you wouldn't be feeling so tired and fatigued all of the time. Not to mention the amount of money that you will save on take away food, junk food and copious amounts of caffeinated energy drinks.

So that brings me to this question. aAre you addicted to take away food and energy drinks?a

Now I want you to answer this question honestly because if you're relying on these to get you through your shift then it's time to change your diet - right now. Not tomorrow, not next week - but right now.

You see the human body is an amazing machine as it puts up with quite a lot of neglect before it shows any signs of ill health. And this is why so many people continue to eat and drink unhealthy because they have been able to get away with it - so far.

But rest assured, there will be a time when your body says aNo More!a

So if your eating habits are bad and you're addicted to take away food and energy drinks, then what can you do to change this? Well just like any addiction it's going to take time, hard work and perseverance on your part.

My best tip however to help you get started, is to get organised and write up a menu plan for the entire week. Go through your recipe books or search online for some dishes that you would like to try and write up your grocery list incorporating the ingredients from these dishes. You can begin by planning for just 7 days (or around your shift work schedule) and chose a variety of menus incorporating fish, meat, chicken and vegetables - that way you're getting a good selection of vitamins and minerals.

Pin your menu plan on the fridge so that everybody in the household knows what they're going to be eating for the entire week - that way there will be no excuse for buying take away and/or junk food.

Not only will you begin to enjoy a healthy and varied diet, but you will be saving a fortune as you no longer buy overpriced, unhealthy food that only zaps your energy and adds to your constant fatigue and tiredness.

if any soda does not say "caffiene free" then there is for sure caffeine in it. But for me if i drink a can of any soda with caffeine,i can stay up all night! And with my sister, soda's make her tired and caffeine does not do her any good. So it depends on the person. Just try it and see how the caffeine works for you.

Energy drink amp sugar free before workout and that is it.
My question is are there any side effects on taking this many pills and powders for your digestive system? I feel fine, but are there??? Can this take a toll on your liver kidneys?

    • ANSWER:
Most of these are going to be ok. Protein and amino powders are pretty much like eating protein-rich foods, so unless that's all you ever eat (you mentioned you had a balanced diet, so you're fine), it's not going to negatively affect you. Vitamins are fine, caffeine is generally accepted to be helpful for increasing work outs. The only thing I would be careful with is any "fat-burner," because these are sometimes known to cause liver damage - hydroxycut is the worst one, lots of people have gotten liver damage from that. I think your biggest chance of adverse health effects is constipation from taking so many solid powders, so make sure you get your fruits in there. Blending up a banana or strawberries with your protein is always a good choice. Make sure you are getting calcium in there too, either from milk or from supplements, as you need strong bones for strong muscles to attach to.
