The Beverage Industry is hot, sizzling, and it's all because of the New Age Beverage Category that's lead by the Energy Drinks. Energy Drinks are the greatest thing happening right now in Retail and Wholesale Businesses. Everyone is getting into it, the beverage distributors, wholesalers, cash and carry's, beverage manufacturers, supermarkets, convenient stores, everyone.
Energy Drinks are so hot you even start to see them at specialty stores. I've seen Energy Drinks at Home Depot, The Gap clothing store, Best Buy and Sports Authority.
I get more calls about Energy Drinks than anything else put together. I get calls form distributors looking for them from manufacturers trying to sell them and from people looking to start their own brand.
It's a great business to get into; more than 300 new Energy Drinks hit the US market last year. If you plan on going into this business do your research first.
Don't even think of launching or carrying new energy drinks until you know more about the industry. Here are some questions you Must answer before launching, distributing or retailing Energy Drinks:
===Find out:===
- How much is the Energy Drink and New Age Beverage category growing per year?
- What are the best segments to be in?
- How much does a store and distributor sell per month of an energy drink?
- What are the best sizes for energy drinks?
- Who is the best customer for energy drinks?
- Where should you spend your promotions?
- Should you sell at events, schools and bars?
- How to sell to Retail Chains? -What you need to sell to Distributors
- The Industry Standard Pricing for Energy Drinks in the USA
- What is the best pricing for your product? Price to beverage distributors, wholesale distributors, exporters, food service, cash and carry and wagon jobbers
- How much will you put back into marketing using the Energy Drink marketing formula?
Now that you know the questions to ask and answer before you decide on your product it's time to sell. How will you start selling? Do you have a contact with a retail store or a distributor? Please pay the most attention to this part of the business. You need sales to survive. Get a seasoned salesperson or a good broker to help you if you are not a great salesperson.
Promotions are a large part of Energy Drinks and it makes them very exciting. You have parties, club events, games, sponsorships, fun fun and more fun. Now, the real question here is How much will you get for your promotions? Notice I don't ask how much you'll spend in promotions but how much you'll get back. Please, please don't spend a dime without a plan to get it back in sales.
Once everyone in your town finds out you have an Energy Drink you'll be the most popular game in town. You'll get calls from newspapers, magazines, and especially radio stations, all looking for advertising. Not to mention all the requests for sponsorship you'll get. What to do? Nothing, don't do a thing until you know how much you'll get for your investment in promotions. Don't spend anything without distribution; don't spend a dime without knowing your Return On Investment.

QUESTION:
Is that Cola flavored Jolt Energy drink in the Battery cans the same as the Jolt Cola sold in the 80's?
I don't remember if I ever drank the original Jolt Cola. If I did, I was too young to remember. I tried the cola flavored jolt energy from the gas station recently and it was awful. It tasted like 9 parts seltzer and 1 part wal-mart cola. Did the Jolt from the 80's actually taste like cola?-
ANSWER:
No, Jolt cola from the 80's tastes similar to RC cola with twice the caffeine and more of a sugar kick. You can still purchase 80's style Jolt cola from sellers that specialize in soda's and pop's. Just do an internet search for Jolt cola.

QUESTION:
how do i get an energy drink?
a friend told me when i was tired that i should get a energy drink but what is that do you put batteries in beer or something?-
ANSWER:
There are many different energy drinks. Energy drinks are their own type of drink. There are many brands: Red Bull, Rockstar, Go Girl, Monster, Ampd, etc. You can find these at pretty much any gas station or supermarket. Some people don't like the flavor of energy drinks. Another option is "5-hour energy" which is a mini bottle that you drink and gives you a boost without a bad crash. You can find these on the counters at 7/11's and other convenient stores.
Coffee is also another option for energy. It uses caffeine to boost you.
Although these are all way to boost energy, they are temporary and will wear off. Exercise and good nights sleeps are the best way to keep energy levels up. Hope it helps!

QUESTION:
My sidekick lx got soacked by a leaking monster energy drink what can I do? The screen has liqued in it ;-( ?
My sidekick LX was in my back pack while I was walking in the pouring rain. Tho I protected it from the rain my monster energy drink didn't want me to be victorious. I got home and unpacked, my phone was covered in monster, it was still on but the lights where going crazy. Right away I removed the battery cover, battery, sim card, and memory card. I rushed to my bath room and lightly damped a towel and patted my phone down. After I tried blow drying it, my screen was still wet from the inside. I put everything back together and nothing, right now all the parts are removed and placed infrontt of my fan. Please anything to save my phone would really help, my life "/-
ANSWER:
Only way to really pull all the moisture from the sidekick is using Silica Gel. You will need to dry out the sidekick by placing it in a zip-lock bag with Silica Packets, can get them anywhere online just google Silica Gel Packets and will comeup with a lot of options. A good souce is: http://www.silicagelpackets.comSimply air drying the sidekick will not be enough in most cases. Because the sidekick still absorbed moisture in the sensative components. Silica Gel will pull all moisture from device.
Some positive comments from the iphone.com article:
"My iphone which I bought 9 days ago said the hard goodbye this weekend. All I have to say is there were two forties drank at bedtime and it was a bad idea. Anyway, I left it in the fridge for all of Sat and Sun and that didn't work. Then I thought it was dead and left it in my hot car for two more days. I tried plugging it in last night and the little apple showed up and then the battery. I was very excited to say the least. Then I got all of my missed calls and texts but low and behold, the touchscreen did not work. I had had it in brown rice and had ordered the silicone packets that absorb moisture. They came in today. Within three hours of using the silicone packets my iphone is up and running. There is some hesitation when scrolling down the contacts list but everything is operational. Very, very cool and a great way to save the 0 I was going to have to pay to fix it or the 0 to replace. Highly recommended."

QUESTION:
i spilled monster energy drink on my camera && sd card wont work please help!?!?
today is sunday. on friday night a can of monster energy exploded in my purse. i got my digital camera out as quick as i could, took the battery out, wiped it off with my shirt, and then went home.
when i got home i put the battery back into the camera and it turned on but the lights were flickering kinda and it kept telling me to turn the camera off and back on. i decided to put the battery in the charger and go to sleep. on saturday morning the camera wouldnt turn on at all. the battery said it was charged but my camera was fried.my question is this: is it really the camera thats fried or maybe it just needs a new battery? (the battery was 2 years old)
and then i put my sd card into the card slot in the computer and tried to upload pictures. nothing happened. no i have never uploading pictures this way before. yes i did restart the computer and try again. and yes a little green light turns on when i put the sd card in to the slot and idkwhats wrong. please help me!!!
full pionts to whoever answers both parts of my question!!
thank you sooooooo much!!!-
ANSWER:
If the electronic parts inside the camera were still wet when you tried to turn it on then chances are there has been a short circuit somewhere - it may be "fried". You are probably best to look at a new camera. If you still think it may be the battery, visit a specialty photographic or electronic store where they may be able to test the battery or try a new one.SD cards are pretty tough. When you put the card in the card reader, wait for the green light to come on and then (assuming you use Windows) go into "My Computer".
Then, find a removable disk which may or may not share the name of your camera. Within that removable disk there will be a folder called DCIM. Your images will show up as files inside that folder. Then you should be able to copy and paste them onto your computer. If you still have no luck, visit a specialty photographic store and ask them to retrieve the pictures for you and put them onto CD or DVD.
Hope you sort it all out!

QUESTION:
We want to make an experiment with energy drinks. Can you help?
So, we are two 15 year old girls, we've always been interested in how human body works. So, kids in our school, and friends from other schools drink energy drinks all the time, and when we tell them all the bad things about them, they just say: yeah right.
So, this gave us idea, to test energy drinks on ourselves, write down everything, and basically, do a research paper on it.
I do lots of sports, I eat very healthy, and I'm a sucker for a healthy lifestyle, I'm also 100% straight edge. My friend lives in the country (I used to live there too, but I moved to the city a year ago), she eats healthy too, and she does lots of work outside, so basically, we're both very healthy. (wow, i used the word healthy a lot.)
Our point is to drink a certain amount of high caffeine energy drinks (like Red Bull, Battery, Euphoria or DYNAMI:T blue), but leave our other eating and living habits the same. We test, how do energy drinks affect our everyday life, and ofcourse, blood pressure, and emotions, etc etc. After the experiment we'll just slowly ecrease the amount of caffeine we use, then stop it and live happily ever after!
Ofcourse we'll consult our doctors before the test, and during (to prevent serious health issues)
So my questions are:
How long should the experiment last. A month? more?
Can we maybe write a project or something, to get money for the experiment, or should we do it with our own budget?
How much should we drink a day (how many mg/100ml)?
What should we write down every day (blood pressure, feelings, sleep, something more)?
What will we risk with? Can our growth stop (even know, I'm 169cm and she's 177cm, and its normal), and what other things can go wrong? We're teenagers, and I know large amounts of energy drinks can really mess us up.Or shouldn't we do it at all? We know alot about energy drinks, and what they have in them, and we will do lots of research before the experiment too, and if our doctor says it's enough, we'll just leave it there, and quit.
And no, we dont want to wait until we're adults, they usually do stuff like that. Our point is to see the effects on TEENAGERS. Adults body works completely different.
Thank you!-
ANSWER:
Make it a research project and not a personal one.
Begin by writing down all the things in the drinks , and finding out why they are there.
sugar-energy
color?
flavor
caffeine
salts
vitamins
minerals
protein
preservatives
You could include a section on observations after you know what is there and how it effects the body. Yes there are changes in heart rate, breathing rate, blood pressure, feelings, after feelings and etc.Adult bodies are not that different from teenage.

QUESTION:
Worst possible thing you can drink?
My step-dad was ragging on me for buying energy drinks, saying it is the worst thing you can drink. I said it wasn't, that the worst would probably be battery acid or chlorine.Question, what is the worst possible thing you can drink? As in pain-wise, death, all that stuff.
I know, weird question, but we are a weird family.
-
ANSWER:
I would throw my vote at arsenic. It is supposed to be an incredibly painful death; wracking your whole body in agonizing pain and seizures for hours and sometimes days.
Despite popular opinion energy drinks are not very healthy for you, though I wouldn't say they are the worst thing you could drink. Maybe that's some control issue he's speaking from.

Spilled drink on laptop now screen is white when turned off?
I accidently spilled an energy drink on my laptop. So I drained it out and let my laptop dry under a lamp all day. Whenever I opened it up to look a it, my screen is white. A bright white. But whenever I turned my laptop on, the screen is normal. Except for a smudge on the screen. Everything works fine. Sound, picture, keyboard, mouse, etc. But whenever I turn my computer off, the screen is white again. I turned my computer off when I went to bed with a full battery to see if drains the battery, and when I woke up my battery was dead. I'm hoping it's nothing expensive. My laptop works just fine but I have to remove the battery when I'm not using it or the battery will die. It also turns white whenever my computer goes in to sleep mode.-
ANSWER:
Cut all the power, pull out the battery and leave it to dry - a day is nowhere near long enough if it is still fully assembled. Above all, cut the power, I would have hoped most people would have had the sense to do that straight away.

QUESTION:
What can I do to help dry out my laptop?
Okay bit of a situation here. I have my dissertation deadline in 3 weeks and (stupidly I know) have not backed it up for a while (about 3 months) so need the data off the laptop.
On my way to the library today a can of fizzy energy drink has been pierced and leaked in my bag all over my laptop. Now it's not very wet (i.e. nothing ran out of it) and I wiped it down (on the outside) using toilet roll and tried to turn it on. It booted up then turned itself off to protect data I (and again, stupidly) tried turning in on a few times to see what the hell was going on. Have now left it off for a few hours and have removed the battery (which was dry, as was the surrounding area).
My bf works in IT and is going to try and recover the data off of it, and I have insurance which covers the laptop itself but need to get the data off asap for my deadline.
Any suggestions what I could do to help recover the data? I am in the library still so don't have access to a freezer and won't be back for another 5 hours. I realise there is probably little you can suggest but am panicking loads and will try most things. Thanks.
thanks for the suggestions so far. just looked around and the library has no radiators(!) not sure how i've not noticed that before-
ANSWER:
Do not put the laptop in the freezer you may well destroy the LCD screen!!!
Fizzy drink is very corrosive so you would be better taking the thing apart and carefully clean the bits where the drink got in, if it in the keyboard it will be sticky for ever! You can wash it in warm soapy water but it takes days to dry properly. Don't wash the mainboard or the screen, there are too many places where the water can get inside non water tight components and it will damage it.
I would suggest you take the Hard Drive out of the machine, go to a local PC store with HD in hand and tell them you want an external case to fit the drive. Plug it all in and download the data from your HD to a different PC or laptop, even a USB pendrive you can then work on the data from that when your laptop dries out a bit (hopefully).

Help with wet cell phone?
Long story short some energy drink spilled on my cell phone and I let it dry for a few days. I didn't leave it out in the sun or anything just in the house. Anyways now when I try to charge it, it says it can't charge. Then when I connect it to the computer it charges but just for like 5 seconds and then it stops charging. Is there some way to make it charge for hours or something or is it just that the battery won't work? Is there some way to fix it being able to charge with the regular wall charger?
It's a slide up Sony Ericsson phone.-

I can't sleep well, and as a teenager, you should be able to sleep practically all day. I don't drink energy drinks at all and when I am lying in bed, there's nothing. QUESTION:
How do you like my new nickname for soft drinks?
I'm sure some of you have heard cigarettes referred to as "cancer sticks." Well, I've postulated something similar for soft drinks. My new nickname for Coca-cola and all other sodas is none other than "diabetes juice." That to me is more fitting than "soft drinks" which is more or less an oxymoron. The only thing soft about them is their texture. They certainly aren't very soft on one's glucose levels, insulin, or blood sugar. About the only use I have for diabetes juice is cleaning alkaline off my car battery and removing rust off metal.I've told a few people they might as well drink antifreeze if they wish to drink sodas for both have about the same amount of nutritional value. Sodas not only have sugar, but they contain other deleterious ingredients like corn syrup, fructose, and sucrose. I can't believe I was addicted to them at one time. I used to drink Monster Energy like it was water, but that addiction has been replaced with green tea since I've become a health freak. How do you like my new nickname for soft drinks? Is "diabetes juice" fitting?
-
ANSWER:
It's fitting, but Metabolic Syndrome juice would be much more accurate. It would include diabetes and so much else.

QUESTION:
What is allowed in a checked bag? Questions?
I have two checked bags, will they charge me for more than one? I know about the whole 50 pounds thing...the point is, I looked at the regulations list, and couldn't find some of the things I have on it.a)hairspray- it's in a can. I'm going to Texas, need it to battle the humidity!
b)toys- I know you know what I'm talking about.
They are all in their packaging because they are new. I just don't want them to think it's a bomb, and then be embarrassed.c)rechargeable batteries
d)cell phone chargers and ipod charger
e)bra inserts- they are water and oil filled
f)food and drink- I have snickerdoodles for my husband, and energy drinks in cans, canned almonds, Fiber One bars, and Mike and Ike's
g)small bottles of tylenol
I'm going to be really mad if they take anything out, so I would rather not bring it at all if they won't allow it.
Also- with my carry-on, I have my husband's new laptop in it. Will it get damaged going through the x-ray?
-
ANSWER:
a)hairspray- it's in a can.
NO - aerosols are prohibited in checked baggage. The propellants are flammable and if they leak, you have a flammable gas floating around the cargo hold. Small cans - like travel/sample size are OK in a carry-on, but you would probably be better off buying this when you arrive.b)toys
The TSA is not out to embarrass anyone, and I am certain they have seen all the toys you have and more. I would not worry, especially as they are in your checked bag.c), d) and e) no problem in the checked bag. The only thing I would make sure of is that one end of each of the batteries is taped over so they cannot contact each other.
f) food is OK. I would skip the canned drinks, however. The cargo hold is generally not pressurized, and there is a possibility that a can could pop open --- and that would be very messy. They probably won't, but the results if they do are rather awful for you.
g) Tylenol. Perfectly OK in checked bag. You might want to have it in your carry on, though - in case of delays and other problems.....
The laptop will be fine - think of how many people travel with laptops every day - if the x-ray damaged data the press would would have a field day with the story.
Good luck!

QUESTION:
What do I need to take on Operation Triangle/ Triangle night hike?
Me and my Explorer unit are doing Operation Triangle this year, and im not sure I have all of the kit. For those of you who don't know what Operation Triangle is it is a fifteen mile night hike in ash down forest. This is what I have or will be given for the hike:
Hiking boots
Hiking socks
first aid kit
compass (unfortunately GPS is forbidden)
map and cover
day sack (my school bag)
snacks (Mars bars, crisp, Haribo ect)
just add water soup (hot water at one of the checkpoints)
Lucozade energy drink
hi viz jackets (one for me and one for my bag is a rule we have to follow)
coat, gloves, hat ect
safety whistle
ipod
torches and spear batteries
water proof trousers
watch
water in a platypus 1.5L container (there are fill up points on route)
mobile
survival bag
thick jumper
normal trousers (worn underneath water proofs)
a Swiss army knife and a pocket knife
Sleeping bag and roll mat (left at start and moved to finish location)Any think else you think I need?
-
ANSWER:
Assume it to be like a normal 15 miles hike, so what you would normally take for that. Plus a few bits for evening hike as wellYou perhaps don't need the ipod, better leave it at home in case it pours down and gets wet and damaged (and the other explorers think you are being antisocial and abandon you). Same with mobile - take it but don't rely on it working. Perhaps not the pen knife, unless you might need it.
Basic kit to wear:
Boots and Socks
Normal hiking kit
Extra T shirt for warmth
Hat

QUESTION:
Hi, I own a Samsung U-740 I believe. Monster got spilled on it last night by accident, what do I do?
The actual phone itself still works. When I first turned it on after it had the Monster (which as many people know is one of those energy drinks) spilled on it, all the numbers where dialing funny. But now, it dials everything ok. Makes calls, and receives them just fine. BUT, when I go to the main menu it keeps scrolling, and scrolling, and scrolling. There's no stopping it. Thus, making it impossible to respond to texts, which is mainly what I do on the phone. Is this an issue of software being fried, or is it still wet/sticky (this was juice that spilled on it...). The little stickers that show water damage are ok. The one on the battery is fully purple, the one on the back, however, has a little bit of white coming out. Help me ;_;-

ANSWER:
That is way too much stuff for a 5 day camp! Your camp should have given you a packing list, pack off of that. I'm not sure what type of activities you are doing but unless they said you need "office supplies" you don't need them. Maybe bring a pen, pencil and paper. Also if you are living outside (cabin, tent, etc) you don't need make- up, hair stuff beyond hair ties and a brush. I personally think that you should probably re- think everything you are bring, you are living home for less then a week not a year!

QUESTION:
I have two questions about Chemistry! 10 points to first right answer! PLEASE HELP?
1.] Which of the following best represents potential energy being converted to kinetic energy?A. The chemical energy in a battery is used to power a radio.
B. The movement of wind turns a windmill that generates electricity.
C. A girl rides her bicycle across town to her friend’s house.
D. A man jogs around the block and then stops for a drink of water.2.] A neutral atom has an atomic number of 14 and a mass number of 30, how many protons, neutrons, and electrons are found within the atom?
A. 30 protons, 14 electrons, and 30 neutrons
B. 14 protons, 14 electrons, and 16 neutrons
C. 14 protons, 16 electrons, and 16 neutrons
D. 30 protons, 30 electrons, and 14 neutrons-
ANSWER:
First question is tricky. I'd say C because in A and B the energy you get is not kinetic and in D you don't really convert anything except for molecular levels inside the muscles, but that applies to C aswell.
In the second, a mass number equals the number of neutrons added to the number of protons while the atomic number equals the number of protons. Since it is neutral the number of protons and electrons must be equal. So that means 14 protons and electrons and 16 neutrons which is the B answer.

QUESTION:
is this long enough to be a proper chapter? how long would it be in a book?
i keep trying to make it longer. this is my first chapter i've been doing, but i don't know whether it's long enough. i know chapters can be any length but i don't want it to be like 2 pages. also can you tell me what you think of it, whats good, bad, needs improving etc.The pale hazy moon beamed ominously over me. The silence was deafening. I focused on the house carefully this time, and waited for my friends to arrive. There was something suspicious about this night, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. The clouds enveloped the moon, only leaving a beam shining down onto the main road and beyond. I was in complete darkness.
Three figures approached me slowly, and I grinned. My hands began shaking with nervousness and excitement.
“Ready?” I gave one of them a package I had smartly designed to look like a birthday present.
“Let's go.” Charlie hugged me to disguise any irregular behaviour. We wandered down the path of the house, and instead of suspiciously looking around before we entered, we pretended to knock the door then stroll in. Alex slipped the key out of her huge plastic bag and we tumbled in.
“Ssh.” Charlie put her arm around all of us and dragged us to the kitchen.
The light was flicked on, and my eyes didn't adjust at once so I blinked a couple of times.
“Here's the thing.” Violet began. “That cupboard,” She pointed to a large wooden door in the corner of the room. “leads to a maze. It's not as simple as those on a children's worksheet. It's miles long. If we were get to the middle of that maze...”
“We'd get the book then, wouldn't we?” Alex beamed and walked over to the cupboard. She opened it and a bitter gust flew down my neck and stood the hairs on the back of my neck upright.
“Yes, we will. But we'll need lots of supplies. Alex?”
Alex shut the door and spilled all her bags contents onto the rotting table in the centre of the room. Tinned fruit, crisps, cooked meat, biscuits, little cakes, and loads of bottled water and energy drinks, it was endless.
“That plus whatever's in the fridge?” She said sarcastically.
“Right. Charlie, did you bring batteries?” Violet turned to her and whipped a torch out of her bag, examining it delicately.
“I did indeed.” Charlie nodded and opened her bag and showed us around 10 packs of unopened batteries.
“Georgia, where are the sleeping bags?” Alex asked.
“In the front room, I'll just be one second.” I stumbled into the front room and breathed deeply. Unlatching the cabinet, I ran over everything that was going to be going on. This was the most scariest moment of my life. Pulling our suitcases from underneath the sofa, I considered leaving. This was my only chance. I could easily say to my mum and dad that I'd changed my mind after wanting to go to Scotland with my friends for two and a half weeks.
Should I go?
Should I?
“Georgia! Where are you?” Charlie was wandering around and I fell to the floor hopelessly, sending dust soaring into the air from the thick carpet. I couldn't go.
I didn't know what I wanted to do, go home or stay here.
“Here, Charlotte. er. Charlie.” I grinned as we dragged each four cases to the kitchen, where the other two were talking about contacting our parents.
“We'll ring every two days. I'm not sure what the weather will be like there, so just say it's breezy every day, not cold, not hot. Warm. Humid. Whatever. Just don't blow our cover. Remember, our parents talk to each other.”
“Are we ready?” I asked, opening the cupboard again. A strange smell blasted me in the face. It was awful. The similar bitter draft gave me goosebumps immediately.
“I think we are. Just the last things... first aid kit... rope...oh, have you locked the front door?” Violet glanced around then nodded at everything.
“I'm not stupid.” Alex raised her nose in the air and unwound the rope. “Let's go.”
I climbed in first, and to my huge shock, the inside of the cupboard was colossal. It smelled musty and cobwebs blanketed the ceilings. My feet hit the cobbled floor as I swung down. The stairs were completely destroyed so everything had to be lowered down, including ourselves.
“Yuck.” Charlie came second, then we helped lower the cases down. Violet came last, then we all tied the rope firmly to the inside door handle so we could find our way back.
“Woo! And we're off...” I groped around for my torch and accidentally turned it on in Charlie's face.
“Oh, can you see enough now Georgia?” she rubbed her eyes furiously and Violet laughed.
“We need to focus,” Violet suddenly interrupted her laughter with a stern face. “There's no messing about here now.”
It was stuffy in there, and we kept running into dead ends then having to go back. At the entrance of every dead end we would make a cross out of our litter from the food we ate so that way we wouldn't go back in.
But in fact, we were totally oblivious to what was going on in the outside world...on microsoft word its one full page and about a quarter on the next. im st
*im not starting to write more chapters until i know how long an average chapter is, and the most helpful answer will get the points.no, im not googleing it.
thanks x
AND im still editing it to try and make it bigger but for now this is what i have.-
ANSWER:
One page on Word will translate to roughly two pages in a book, depending on font size. You use far, far too many words; you can't just throw together descriptive words and expect it to then automatically be good. The words need to fit together, to flow smoothly and elegantly and I'm sorry but this doesn't happen here, it sounds jerky and ugly. Furthermore the descriptive terms you have used are not where they should be. For example, in the first sentence you go over the top describing the moon, then in the next paragraph make no effort to let the reader know the important facts; what does this house look like? What's the area like? Etc etc. Don't use words repeatedly, it's extremely off putting, but don't just throw something in from Word's synonyms tool; the tool can be of great use but you need to use it properly, if you've never heard of a word before then research it to see if it's contextually relevant, or you'll just look stupid and your writing will suffer.
Grammar is fine for the most part. Speech is ok I guess; you have to imagine the characters speaking, always asking yourself 'is that how people speak?'.
This needs to be longer, I could edit it down to about half what it is, and it isn't long to start with. To give you an idea, most chapters (unless it's something like James Patterson, whose style I strongly advise you to avoid) can be between ten and thirty pages long. Which means on Word they need to be between five and fifteen pages long, with a word count of between three and nine thousand.
As a last point, it makes it easier to read if you double space the start of each line where the previous line was speech, if that makes sense...
I hope this helps you; bottom line, keep at it. Writing is a constant learning curve, and if you enjoy it that's all that matters. Also, read, and read a lot; this will improve your skill as a writer without you even realising it.

QUESTION:
Why do I keep getting shocked?
Just over two months ago, I fell asleep for 12 hours after I was sick and when I woke up, things started to change.
When I flipped the light switch on, I was shocked by sparks (not to mention that I had lost most sense of time perception). Ever since that day, I have been getting shocked AT LEAST 20-25 times a day (I actually lose count after that) and it can sometimes be quite painful. Thus far, my teachers and professors have made theories as to why I am like this:
1.
Explanation: Too many salts/electrolytes in my body
Proposed by: A physics teacher and professor who has authored several books.
Counter argument: I mostly drink water (~95+% of all liquids I drink) and I consume hardly any salt (except what is needed for the body)2.
Explanation: The clothes you wear.
Proposed by: Physics teachers/professors, electromagnetic science teacher, and my father.
Counter argument: I haven't changed the types of fabrics of the clothes I wear in a long time. Also, I've used static guard for the past month (nothing has changed though) and I've always used dryer sheets.3.
Explanation: Dragging of my feet.
Proposed by: Same as above.
Counter argument: I don't drag my feet when I walk.4.
Explanation: Computer radiation and energy efficient light bulbs with mercury that may emit radiation.
Proposed by: Same as the prior questions.
Counter argument: I tried a Geiger counter to measure radiation around me on a low scale and just the average radiations was detected (only a few clicks). Also, not everyone who uses a computer in their room or has energy efficient bulbs gets shocked 20-25 times a day.4.
Explanation: It's the humidity.
Proposed by: Same as the other questions.
Counter argument: The humidity hasn't been the same every day for the past two months. We've had very dry weeks, normal weeks, and very humid weeks and the shocks haven't changed.5.
Explanation: It's your hair when electrons from the air hit it.
Proposed by: Same as above.
Counter argument: My hair has been like this for well over two months (in size) and people with a lot more hair than me don't easily get shocked.
6.
Explanation: You were born that way as each person has various levels of conductivity.
Proposed by: Same as with the first explanation.
Counter argument: Then why was the change an overnight change rather than a development over time?7.
Explanation: You have a shocking personality to go along with it.
Proposed by: My physics teacher.
Counter argument: Ha Ha, I'm ROTFLMAO (he's into those acronyms).8.
Explanation: You have become a carrier of electrons
Proposed by: The teacher/ professors ad my father.
Counter argument: Yet shouldn't the energy become grounded for a good while after I touch something made of metal?A few more facts:
-I've been shocked by paper, a wooden table, rubber materials, and plastics.
-I've touched people, shocked them, and made their hair rise up.
-A conductivity measurer went berserk on me while it hardly lit up with others.
-I lit up a gas stove by touching the metal part where the flames are emitted after turning on the gas.
-I was able to recharge by phones battery 2/3 by holding it for about half an hour. There's a lot more and as things come up, I'll give more details.
I'll appreciate any good explanations and I will select a best answer in a few days.
-When I touch something, even if it doesn't shock me, I can FEEL the electrical current that surrounds it even if it is protected by an insulator and even with the air or water.
-Also, the fact that almost everything I drink is water helps dissolve the few salts in my system and hence preventing shocks from occurring because of them.-
ANSWER:
You know,
that's very interesting.
I saw a show on the discovery channel a few months ago about a man's children having the same electrical charge.
They couldn't explain it either.
I certainly can't.
And I'm very interested in what you discover in your search for an explanation.
The only advice I have for you is to possibly change your last name to Martinezzz.
Kidding..Good luck in your search.

QUESTION:
feedback on my novel?
The novel is about 2 online lovers talking but the girl suddenly dissapears and when the guy finds her she seems different.the title is - 404 memory not found
Six months later, the cold seattle winds stopped and the hot summer weather was just around the corner. Ben returned home late at night after a long day of taking pictures for a magazine article. He walked through the door and threw his jacket on the chair and grabbed a cold beer from refrigerator. He sat at the desk opening his laptop and looked through his emails. He ignored all of them except for the one from Rachel. It read “Hey you, I’ve missed talking to you lately”, Ben smiled and wrote a reply saying he has been busy with work but should be online more often from now on. For the next 2 hours they continued exchanging emails with one another but Ben’s smile slowly faded out as he seemed confused as to why Rachel kept asking questions about himself that he thought he had already answered a few months ago.
The next morning a tired and exhausted Ben arrived late at a photoshoot and met up with Dan. Ben told Dan about Rachel and how she keeps asking him about work, friends and girlfriends. At first Dan laughed this off thinking she’s just interested in him and wants to get to know him better, but Ben was sure that they’d had these conversations before, “We’ve talked about this kinda stuff in the past and she was happy with the answers”. Dan continued urging Ben to look past this and be in the moment with Rachel. Ben thought to himself and decided that Dan’s advice was essential and that the time was now right to ask Rachel to meet him.
That night upon arriving home Ben immediately went over to his laptop and checked his emails and was surprised to see nothing from Rachel in his inbox. He then sat back in his chair for the next hour waiting for a reply from Rachel but it never appeared. Curious and confused, Ben went on Rachel’s profile to discover that she has deactivated her account, he helplessly searched for her blog posts but it had been made clear that she has deleted her account and there were no leads to her. Ben was shocked and stared at the laptop screen trying to make sense of this. Yesterday they were talking joyfully and today she had just vanished without a trace. Unable to put his mind to rest or get any sleep, Ben sat at the desk for a further few hours constantly thinking about what he could have possibly said that would make Rachel deactivate without even saying a goodbye to him.
As the dark mist of the night passed and the glowing sun arose, Ben had just been sitting back in the chair staring at the emails on his laptop until his laptop battery eventually gave in and the screen faded to blank. Due to a lack of energy Ben didn’t bother plugging the charger in or even answering the phone when Dan tried calling him to ask why he didn’t go to his engagement party. Upon hearing Dan’s voicemail, Ben snapped out of this zone and leaped towards the phone and answered in a panicked voice, “Dan, im so sorry the party it completely slipped my mind, something came up”. Before Ben could go on to explain, Dan hung up the phone leaving Ben thinking he had lost more then just one friend in the past 24 hours. A sad and distraught Ben headed down to the bar and ordered one alcoholic drink after the another until he went on to pass out at the bar.
A year had passed and Ben was still not himself, he would constantly check his hotmail to see if Rachel had wrote anything but deep inside he knew she was gone, he had never imagined how painful it could be to lose your hearts desire. Ben didn’t take this well and drank a whole lot more then he usually would and he had also recently started smoking as he thought of it as a way to ease his tensions and relax his mind. Part of him was also sad that Dan was no longer around as much as he had left town to be with his fiancée. Early on Saturday morning Ben awoke after midday with a blinding pain in his head due to a hangover. Upon taking a shower and getting dressed he went down to the lounge to check his mail and snapped out of his lazy attitude when he saw a wedding invitation from Dan. He rushed back into the elevator and went back into his apartment. He thoroughly read through the invitation twice to confirm with himself that the wedding was taking place in Salt Lake City, Utah. His eyes widened and he hurried to switch on his laptop and scrolled through his emails with Rachel and stopped when he saw an old reply stating that she lives in Utah. Ben sat back in his chair and couldn’t help but do something he hadn’t in a very long time, he smiled. An idea popped up in his head, he was more then happy to go to Utah but not for Dan and Julia’s wedding, but to find Rachel Hansen.
this is still part of the begininng. It is the 2nd chapter

QUESTION:
Why are black people the ones everybody loves to hate?
Other cultures like to talk about black peoples mishappenings. They'll be quick to speak about some controversial stuff on world star but wont even find or speak about anything positive like Ronnie Johnson who is trying to find new sources of power like the new lithium air battery. He also created an engine calledthe J tech which converts heat to electricity. He hopes that they could scale it up so they can convert heat from the sun to energy meaning they would be able to power entire cities. Some people will even get annoyed by mentioning something like that but they're comfortable with stereotypes based on a portion of African Americans and use it for the whole race of black people like they all drink coolaid. I haven't even seen black people drinking that outside the USA.
I only had koolaid once in my life.-
ANSWER:
It's kool-aid with a k.

QUESTION:
kind of need help with homework in science with chemicals..?
the question is underline all of the chemicals mentioned in the article.Oh boy, there’s my alarm. Six-thirty, the morning I’ve dreaded all week-- the day of my first big chemistry exam. I should get ready. Where’s that toothpaste? Fluoride sounds familiar; I wonder why that’s in there. There’s baking soda and peroxide too. Why would they put those in tooth-paste? It’s time for a shower.I wonder why soap and water clean so much better than just plain water. How is shampoo different from soap? I wonder why I feel so cool before I dry off? There’s isobutane in this mousse. I wonder if that’s anything like the butane in lighters. Why would something like that be in this hairstyling stuff?
It’s time for some tunes. The news is on. They say this beautiful late summer morning will become an ozone action day. I wonder what ozone is. How does it get into the air? Why is it a problem? They keep telling us not to stay out in the sun too long because the ozone layer is disappearing. How can it just disappear, and how is the ozone layer different from the ozone they tell us we shouldn’t breathe? I wonder how a sun block works. I had better turn on the light. I wonder what’s in a light bulb that lets it get so hot and still not melt or catch on fire.
It’s time to check the laundry and get dressed. How does detergent work? Maybe I’ll wear that tie-dyed T-shirt. I wonder how they tie-dye clothing. How do dyes stay on the clothes without coming off onto my skin? Boy, these jeans are really faded. I wonder what made them fade so much. My socks came out nice and white. What is bleach, and how does it work? My new cross training shoes sure are comfortable. I wonder how they made that foam rubber.
I should fuel up with some breakfast. Maybe I’ll fry and egg. I wonder why a fried egg tastes so much better than a raw egg. How does cooking change the egg? It’s getting late. I’ll just have some orange juice and cereal. Wait, every time I drink orange juice after I brush my teeth, it tastes really strange. I wonder why that is. I think I’ll just try cereal and skip the juice. I know it has vitamin C, but what does that do for me anyway? This cereal is “fortified with iron”. I wonder what kind of iron they put in there; it couldn’t be those iron filings we used in chemistry lab, could it? This milk has calcium in it; it surely isn’t those little lumps we saw bubbling in water the other day in class. The milk says it has vitamin D added. I wonder what vitamin D is and why it’s good for me. There’s the calorie count. I wonder if that has anything to do with those energy measurements we read about in the chemistry book.
Time to leave for school. I hope the cars starts this morning. I wonder how a battery works. Oh great, the car needs gas. I’ll pull in to the mini-mart and fill up the tank. The pump says something about an octane rating. I wonder what octane is and what that octane rating really means. This gas is unleaded; how could they put lead in gasoline? Why would it be used in gasoline anyway? It looks like that tire is a little low. This pressure gauge is reading lower than it did yesterday afternoon. I wonder if it’s because it’s so much cooler this morning. Before I leave, I think I’ll get a can of soda. Oops, I dropped it; I better not open it until later. I wonder what those bubbles are and how they get them in there. I made it to school on time. It’s supposed to be really hot today. I’ve heard of car windows popping when it gets really hot, so I’d better open them a little bit. I wonder why they sometimes break when the car gets really hot. I’m glad the windows are coated to shade the inside. That should help too. I wonder what that coating is, and how they get it in the glass. It sure is bright out this morning. I’m glad my glasses darken in the sun. I wonder how they do that. The air conditioning sure will feel good this afternoon. I’m glad I had my air conditioner fixed. What is the refrigerant that the service technician refilled? I wonder how air conditioning works. Well, here I am in chemistry class. Worrying about this exam is giving me heartburn. I wonder how this antacid works. Why do I have to study chemistry anyway? When will I ever use chemistry in my everyday life? What good is it to me?that was the article but yh you DON'T HAVE TO READ IT. i also saw the answer sheet to it and a few of these words were underlined.
baking soda
calcium (in milk)
soap and water (cleaning)
egg (frying an egg)
bubbles (from a can of soda)this is what i dont get how are those chemicals?????
reminder if you don't see the message in thereYOU DON'T HAVE TO READ THE MASSIVE PARAGRAPH (i just added it in if people wanted more detail on it)
and Thank You so Much for the help

ANSWER:
From the paragraph:
Fluoride
baking soda
peroxide
water
isobutane
butane
ozone
bleach
rubber
vitamin C
iron
calcium
vitamin D
gas[oline]
lead
glass
refrigerant
antacidI left out air, shampoo, soap, mousse, and detergent, as they are mixtures of chemicals. Ultimately every physical object in the "paragraph", and actions the writer was questioning arise from chemical changes, or physical changes that arise from chemical properties. You need to train your "common sense" that there is more to chemistry than little bottles with labels on them.

QUESTION:
i need to know all about Vespa's.?
i live in the Burbs of cincinnati Ohio so i'm not in a city or anything.
i'm planning on getting a Vespa for my 16th birthday instead of a car
i just though it would be smart to get some information on them before i buy one. so yeahh. things i want to know:-miles it gets and source of energy it uses (gas, charge battery etc.)
-rules and regulations (where can i drive it? roads, highways, age etc)
-does it have a stero system, or a cupholder,(you never know, some bikes do)
-is there some type of drunk or place i can store my back back or purse on the way to school?
-how fast it can go
and
-how many people can ride on it (legal limit and actual holding space)thank you.
-
ANSWER:
A couple of things to consider first:
-Some Vespa's don't run in the rain, and if they do, it sucks riding in the rain
-I'm pretty sure that Cincinnati gets really cold, and I've found that riding in weather less than 70 F is really uncomfortable. Think about the wind whipping by you when you're going 45 mph.Now to your questions:
-Depending on your engine size, you can get 40 to 80 miles per gallon. They hold around 1 to 2 gallons of gas. New Vespas have a battery. My P series Vespa will hold a charge for about a week. If you drive it every day, you won't have to worry about keeping it charged.
-I wouldn't ride on the highways on anything less than a 200 cc engine. As for rules and regulations, ask your state department of safety or department of motor vehicles.
-Vespas don't have stereos or cupholders stock. But you can go to websites like scooterworks.com to find after market add ons. There are suction cup cupholders that look pretty fun. You'll probably have trouble hearing a stereo though. The sound will have to overcome your helmet (please wear a helmet), the surrounding cars, and the wind while driving. You could use some sort of MP3 player and Bluetooth helmet combination, but be prepared to pay about 0 for a helmet like that.
-Vintage vespas don't have trunks, but Vespa did sell trunk add ons. There are many luggage rack/trunk combinations that you can buy. New Vespas have space under the seat for storage, and they're big enough to fit a full face helmet. All Vespa's should come with a hook for hooking things between your legs. I've seen people use this for grocery bags.
-50 cc: 45mph; 150 cc: 60 mph; 200 cc: 75 mph. These are all estimates of top speeds. In general, you can cruise comfortably at 10 mph less than the top speeds. I just wouldn't top it out too often.
-Two people can ride on most Vespas. I would just advise against it if you don't think you can hold up two people and a bike with your legs when you're stopped. A vespa can weigh about 250 lbs. If you can't reach the ground with both feet, forget about having a passenger. As for legality, you may need footpegs for your passenger if your passenger can't reach the floorboard. Again, check your state regulations. Of course, there are tons of pictures on the internet of people in India carrying entire families on a Vespa. Don't do this though.

QUESTION:
OMG OMG shocking news. Is this true??
Heavy metal poisoning has become an increasingly major health problem, especially since the industrial revolution. Heavy metals are in the water we drink, the foods we eat, the air we breathe, our daily household cleaners, our cookware and our other daily tools. A heavy metal has a density at least 5 times that of water and cannot be metabolized by the body, therefore accumulating in the body. Heavy metal toxicity can cause our mental functions, energy, nervous system, kidneys, lungs and other organ functions to decline. Learning where these metals can be found and decreasing one’s exposure is vital to staying healthy. For the person who wonders if they have heavy metal poisoning, testing is essential. If a person has heavy metal toxicity then interventional natural medicine procedures need to be performed.I remember someone, once said tap waters are healthy, GTFO you lying fool

ANSWER:
It is true that our environment is polluted there are people who will be affected just as many animals have been affected by the same pollutants. So we see many fish today which are born with malformed genitalia, deformed fins, extra fins, etc., because they are poisoned by the hormones from the female contraceptive pills which are discharged with the sewage into rivers and sea.But it is equally true, if the evolutionist are right, that some who are the "fitter" will adapt to the heavy metals, radio-nuclides, hormones, dioxin, poisons, etc., in our environment and go on to produce stronger and fitter stock. e.g. humans with extra fingers, bigger (or smaller) brain, bisexuals who can cope better in our liberal society, etc.
So there is really no need to worry. In the long run, evolution will sort it out as it has always been doing. Volcanoes, for example, spewed out poisons and killed off many life forms, but some survive and after millions of years these repopulated the earth. Meteors and comets smashing into our earth brought their heavy metals and other life forms (viruses and bacteria) and probably killed off many earth life, but at the same time brought enduring mutations. The process keeps going on and it gets sorted out. Even global hotification.

QUESTION:
Pregnant and a super high pulse rate like 150s-160s. Any one know what might be causing this?
So I am on my second pregnancy, almost 30 weeks now. I had the racing heart and pulse with the first one but it went unnoticed though i complained the whole time. Two weeks ago I decided to actually have them do my blood pressure standing (thinking this was the problem) and it came back fine like 120/78 ? cant remember, but my pulse was 142 just standing less than one minute. So this week I walked to the room (about 2 minutes on my feet) and had my pulse done, and it was 158. Now i KNOW that it goes over that because I wasn't feeling as bad as I do every day.
So other than the obvious, my pulse is high (which i just discovered) I see the spots/flashing lights, get light headed very easy, out of breath feel extreemly weak or nauseous after short walks or exertions of energy. These feelings go away with sitting down and drinking lots of water. The longer I am up or push it the longer it takes to recover. 10 minutes of exertion takes about 30 minutes of recovery. It feels equal to a very bad low sugar attack.
I don't know my blood pressure without being pregnant, is it possible to be early stages of preeclampsia before the high BP kicks in? My last pregnancy I did the horrible sudden swelling to the point where I could not walk just 1 week before delivery but I didn't know it was a problem then and I waited it out. Now looking back at pictures I was VERY puffy in my face with my first and I think I had it at the end.
I know this is long but its not a cut and dry case so I am trying to put all the info in. These next two weeks I am going to be going through a battery of tests as my doctor is very concerned, but not as concerned as I am becoming. I feel like my heart is going to explode sometimes!
Thank you everyone, looking for some conditions someone may have heard about or experienced the same, not just crazy guesses lol Thanks
-
ANSWER:
WOW! I thought my pulse was high. My pulse is like 120 or 114 everytime. If I drink enough water, it goes down to 100 or 97, but I never feel anything different. I don't have the spots or anything, and I only feel my racing pulse when I lay down at night. I have a very normal BP and I passed my Glucose test. I was afraid I would be told I had preeclampsia, but so far, so good. I would hope that the doctor would be a little more concerned about that. 158 is really high. I wish I had more to give you, but I am kinda in the same boat as you.

QUESTION:
Is it possible that vampires do exist?
I know the answer to this already and only bring it up to enlighten. I will give you my best answer and let all you who are critical and judgmental have at it with this one. But there is indeed a scientific explanation for the condition known as vampirism. The following was my thesis on the subject. The Science of Vampirism
A Thesis on the Scientific Probability of the Vampyric ConditionVampires…we have read about them in novels and seen them portrayed in motion pictures worldwide. There have been myths and fables about their existence for centuries as well as countless reported sightings. Of course, these beings that you have read about in the books or that have been glamorized by Hollywood are not real vampires. They are folklore and stories that have now become a worldwide pop-culture phenomenon. These are not the beings that I will be discussing in the pages of this thesis. Instead, I wish to open the minds of those who possess the mental capacity to perceive the reality of what does in fact exist, which is the physical condition that is known as vampirism.
Vampires do indeed exist and walk amongst us. They are everywhere and blend in every walk of life. There are doctors, lawyers, business professionals, teachers, and more that have a condition known as vampirism. They are not freaks or monsters like the creatures you have seen in the movies or read about in some book. They are human beings born with a condition that makes them different on a genetic and biological level.
Just as some human beings have different pigmentations of skin or are natural born athletes, vampires are born with certain differences that separate them from what has been deemed as “normal” human beings. This genetic condition can sometimes skip generations, so most real vampires do not even come to realize their condition until around puberty, when certain unexplained changes start to take effect which ultimately causes them to feel confused. This is the point in their life when they have become awakened and their mind has become opened to their nature’s potential as well as its deficiencies. It is these deficiencies that I will be discussing in the pages that follow. It is these deficiencies that are what truly defines what a vampire is. They are what trigger a real vampire’s need to feed from sources such as blood and/or by psychic energies. The deficiencies can be explained through a process in the body known to the scientific world as bioelectromagnetism or bioelectricity.
Bioelectromagnetism is the ability of all living beings’ cells, tissues, and organs to produce electric or magnetic fields of energy. Bioelectricity is used by biological cells to store metabolic energy which can in turn signal one another and trigger actions and functions within the body. All plants, animals, and human beings function in one aspect or another by way of bioelectromagnetism. In fact some living creatures have very acute bioelectric sensory which interacts with the earth’s own magnetic field. An example of this can be seen in migratory birds that are drawn to certain regions of the earth. They are guided by the energy of the earth’s magnetism and their own biological energy fields.
So what does all of this have to do with vampires one might ask? Well, simply put, it has to do with the deficiencies that all real vampires have within their biological makeup. Vampires lack the bioelectromagnetic ability to store metabolic energy the same way as normal human beings. Some would refer to this as an energy leak within a vampire’s body. This leak is what drives a vampire to seek out and draw energy into themselves from outside sources. In a sense, a vampire is very much like a rechargeable battery in the sense that they must constantly be recharged in order to function properly.
The oldest of vampires all drank blood like we have seen so many times in the films and books that portray them. So how does blood come into play with bioelectromagnetism? Blood is made up water, salt, and protein. Within the protein of the blood there are high concentrations of iron, and iron, is one of the strongest electromagnetic conductors in existence. This phenomenon is called ferromagnetism in which certain materials such as iron form permanent magnets and is the only type of magnetism that produces energy strong enough to be felt.
Energy fills the living blood of animals and human beings, and therefore it is a great source of fuel for a vampire to recharge themselves. Over time, vampires have learned to adapt and draw this energy in by other means, but blood is still the preferred method of many vampires alive today because it is by far the most effortless means of regenerating the energy they lack. They simply drink in the energy and their system is recharged so to speak. Blood is thus a natural recharging station in a sense.
Over time, all living beings learn to adapt to their environment in order survive. Vampires have learned to do this ove-

QUESTION:
How much does Earth Day matter to you?
Today marks the 39th anniversary of Earth Day -- the environmental awareness and appreciation day founded by United States senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970. Earth Day has spread around the world, and today more than one billion people in nearly 175 countries are expected to take part in celebrations. But what people don't seem to understand that earth day should be EVERYDAY. Its becomes such a "IN thing" around today (and sadly, only today) its become all fuss and no bother. here are a few things YOU can do in your daily routine that can help not only something SO important like the planet you and your children and your children's children live in but also your wallet.A Dim Bulb - Your local hardware store probably sells a regular incandescent bulb for or . Compare that to a compact fluorescent bulb that sells for about .00. No contest you say? Think again. Experts say you may buy 10 or more of the cheaper bulbs over ten years, compared to only one of the more expensive type. Now which looks better? 50 Simple Things You Can Do to Save the Earth recommends using compact fluorescent bulbs with solid state ballasts that fit into a regular light bulb socket, using 1/4 of the energy of an incandescent bulb while generating the same amount of light.
The Running Faucet - Do you leave the water running while you brush your teeth for 2 minutes? Then nearly ten gallons of water just slid down the drain. Remember, you PAY for that! Now, think about saving water when you shave, wash dishes, do laundry, water the lawn, wash the car, hose off the sidewalks.... avoid sending water and $$$ down the drain.
Idle Time - Ever wonder if you should leave the car running while you wait for the kids to be dismissed from school? Leave it on if you'll be there less than a minute, otherwise it's more efficient to turn it off and restart it when you're ready to go.
Turn Down the Heat - Not just the furnace, but the water heater too -- set it at 130 to 140 degrees. Turn the setting to low or off when you leave for the weekend or for a long vacation, then put a note on your bathroom mirror so you'll remember to turn it up when you return.
Keeping It Clean - Washers can use more than 50 gallons of water per load, so avoid washing a lot of small loads whenever possible. Also, be sure to choose the lowest level of water needed for each load, use warm water instead of hot, and set the rinse cycle to use cold water.
Cold Food - Refrigerator temperatures should be set at about 40 degrees, give or take a degree or two. Freezer temps between 0 and 5 degrees are just right. Colder settings waste energy and won't help food.
Snip Six-Pack Rings - Those innocent looking soft plasting holders for soft drink cans and other products can entangle birds, fish, and small animals. Snip apart each ring before throwing it in the trash, or inquire whether they can be recycled locally.
Get a Charge out of It - Never throw spent batteries in the trash. They contain mercury, a hazardous substance that will leak into groundwater or be burned and released into the air. Don't go there. Either switch to rechargeable batteries or collect used batteries in a shoebox out in the garage, clearly marked. Then take them to a recycling facility once or twice a year.
Oh wow! how oh so "COOL" of you "people" to write the total opposite and not to mention writting such bad things...such rebels. how i wish with my little heart to be like you. No one asked you to write nor "answer" on MY question. so if your having a pissy day or you simply dont give a rats A** about earth or anything for that matter MOVE ALONG! STUPID IGNORANT PEOPLE. Earth DOES matter, if you bother to wacth the news or since you seem to be on the web, look it up. its not in the best of shape. And when something is effect by a disaster (like the current status of OUR planet) EVERYTHING around it goes down with it (and by everything i mean YOU IGNORANT people and the people who really do care) So next time you want to show off on here do it on a question asked by someone who mind having people like YOU talk so much ignorant s**t on there question!-
ANSWER:
thanks for the advice, if you use a search engine called http://www.blackle.com/ it has a black background which uses less energy!

Not sure why we need the list, but yes, of course I'm concerned about the future. By the way, the vast majority of the things on your list don't have to be made using fossil fuels. The list would have made more sense (and been a lot shorter) if it had only included stuff that could ONLY be made from fossil fuels.

QUESTION:
What will it take to wake people up?
Trillion dollar spending plans, multibillion dollar bailouts, and now...here it comes. Higher taxes.Oh yeah, I've heard the Obama hype about all the "tax cuts" that the middle class folks are gonna get. But that's all it is...hype!
"WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama is sending his Treasury secretary and budget director to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to defend his proposed tax increases, which are being met with misgivings by both Republicans and Democrats in Congress.
Lawmakers in both parties question Obama's call to reduce high-income earners' tax deductions for the interest on their house payments and for charitable contributions. Also drawing fire is his proposal to start taxing industries on their greenhouse gas pollution — a move sure to raise consumers' electric rates."
Now for those who forget the many things made from oil - and oil refineries will fall under this new tax increase proposal - let us take a minute and review. These products are made from oil. So...not only will we pay higer taxes for fuel, both gas for our cars and heating oil, but when we go shopping, we will also pay higer prices for the following products, because those increased taxes to the manufacturers will be passed along to us...

Really! I wonder...just how many tax breaks for us working stiffs does this spendulous bill have?
How f@cked up does this whole thing have to get, before people wake up to how badly we are going to get screwed?

ANSWER:
First of all, it would be nice if you cleaned your mouth up a bit here. Second, you stated, "Oh yeah, I've heard the Obama hype about all the "tax cuts" that the middle class folks are gonna get. But that's all it is...hype!" How do you know it's all hype when it isn't ready yet to happen? Ever heard of and practiced wait and see what happens? You are putting the horse before the buggy.

QUESTION:
I_ f_e_e_l_ b_a_d_!!!!!!!?
To begin with, I`ll say that I feel like one of those bunnies from that old commercial whose life battery has run down.Like a week ago I finished with all of my exams and was just about to feel the relief and everything was going not bad. The next day I went to celebrate the end of the semester with my group mates and we got really drunk, since that day I`ve been feeling like a last peace of sht (sorry for such an expression) and I can`t find the exact reason.
Nothing seem to thrill me, I don`t feel any interest or desire to do anything and any life energy to do anything. Moreover, I`ve started to feel myself completely lonely and lost any desire to go on contact with my friends. I feel this feeling of dissapoitment in everything and that my way of living takes me nowhere and leaves me nothing, all my aims began to seem really lame. Also this huge feeling of loss, like a big black hole in me (what I also didn`t meantion that few days ago I broke up the relations with few people but I didn`t think that it can matter to me at all).
So would be thankful for ur advice as I really need it...-
ANSWER:
You have slipped into a depression, it sounds to me. My guess is that you had to really push yourself for exams and then the night out with friends and now you are simply drained. Give yourself some time. Rest, eat healthy, get a bit of exercise and sun (if you can), and it wouldn't hurt to take some extra vitamins, such as Vitamin D and calcium (take these together). Force yourself to see your most upbeat friends, and explain how you are feeling - I am sure they will understand! If you aren't better in a week or two, see your doctor.

QUESTION:
I found my wife's sister having an affair and I told her I had always loved her and now we hate each other.?
She and I have always got on like a a house on fire, but one day she sent me a link by mistake and I started taking a closer look at her internet usage. Deleting history every time, always moving screen so you can't see it, and one night while on holidays she could not switch off the laptop quick enough as her husband was mad at her late coming to bed and i offered to shut it down quickly and she said yes. I pulled the battery out to her relief but she had scored an own goal, yet i never brought it up again and it was 3 years later I recieved the link. So i got all my info and confronted her to have her admit to being lonely as her husband drinks a lot, and she deserves to be happy. So she said she would stop and that was that till i found out she had a previous affair with another coworker and was now with the secound coworker who was ''helping her with the first coworker as he was hasseling her. i emailed her and text her every day for a while and then told her i loved her and the whole thing turned 180 to me as the problem. Now I have so much proof that when she says its over with the first guy and the secound is just a friend i get pissed off as i have proof of the emailing of the 2nd co worker and stuff like''in bed thinking of my guy mmmmm soooo nice at 2am while her husband is asleep beside her...
We have made friends 3-4 times but now I'm not talking to her but with the whole family not knowing its sapping all my energy and its now going on a year now. Only sorry i told her about my feelings for her as she knows i wont tell any of the family... Guilty myself but what do i do now??-
ANSWER:
Hummmm - what about your wife????????????? Honestly, all this crap about your SIL and what SHE is up to and her co-workers and husband - blah blah - look in the mirror! How would your wife feel to know you have 'feelings' for her sister? No matter what you have on your SIL she has one up on you, she at least doesn't have the hots for a family member. You have no right to judge her or look into her computer history, take responsibility & sort out your own life. Step 1 - stop reading other peoples internet history! 2/. Your SIL is off-limits
