I am trying to get my fraternity sponsored by a major energy drink. I have not contacted any organizations yet because I know that I will be asked how my fraternity can help the Energy Drink or what we plan on doing to help. I've thought long and hard about the answer, but cannot seem to think of anything

    • ANSWER:
      Chris,

I like your thinking here, and believe it or not this is very easy to do.

Call your local distributors and let them know your intentions (you can find their info in a phone book or online). All distributors have it in their budget to do promotions to build their business. College students are obviously a big deal to the energy drink market, so you should be able to find someone willing to give a donation.

      Best of luck!

  11. QUESTION:
Can plants benefit from a little Red Bull energy drinks?
I have been putting a can of Red Bull into one of my potted plants.

It seems to make them grow like crazy and give the leaves a glowing color.

    Why is that?

    • ANSWER:
It could be that since humans respond to the effects of red bull differently than plants, the chemicals and/or ingredients in the drink could be affecting one or more of the plants natural processes. In this case, it would be stimulating the plant's ability to grow. Now if the plant were to yield some kind of fruit, vegetable, or product, then I would personally not eat it. I have no clue how the drink (especially the taurine) would affect the product.

  12. QUESTION:
How bad for your health is an energy drink?? Eg. Red bull?
Im in year twelge now and i can see the benefits of taking energy drinks as i can stay up late. However, i also know that it is really harmful to the health. I've drank around 15 cans in my life and want to know what the effects on health it has, and the acceptable amount i should be able to drink! Maybe one every three days??

    • ANSWER:
They're very bad for you lol. They are just full of sugar and have no help benefits at all.

A study of university students found drinking one 250ml can of the sugar-free version of the energy drink that 'gives you wings' increased the 'stickiness' of the blood and raised the risk of life-threatening clots.

I would suggest not drinking any.

  13. QUESTION:

I drink wired 344 which has 344mg of caffeine, alot by any standard. I know caffeine has thermonegenic properties and can raise metabolism, however the total calories is 220. Do the calories offset the aid of caffeine or does the amount of caffeine end up neutralizing the callories AND provide benefit on top of that? No need for info about the neg. effects of large doses of caffeine, i am quite aware! And yes i eat healthy and excersise daily, so its not a lose a lot of weight aid, just a short term boost! Thank you!
The drink has 3000mg of taurine, 10mg of b6, 9.6mcg of b12, 20mg of niacin,

    • ANSWER:

  14. QUESTION:

Not also, does it help me get going and alert, but I also heard people saying Green tea is good for you and has alot of benefits. I drink one cup in the morning and one at night. Could this have benefits and also, could drinking green tea lead to any bad side effects, if I keep drinking it, the way I am, or is it safe? Plus, it's gotta be healthier than energy drinks? 16. QUESTION:
Why has society condemned energy drinks?
most people would say, automatically that energy drinks are bad for you. but has ANYONE ever thought about the benefits, especially the nay-sayers. I am 14, and have great results. i have one, and i can do all my studies plus a better amount of work on the farm. the hitch. my mother forbids them. she has chosen to stay with society's point of view. has anyone had any ideas besides the stereotypical ones? and honestly ppl w adhd, and heart problems know about them, and know better than to. they just want to sue and make millions. And the adults over 21. you should know better than to combine energy drinks with alcohol. They work against each other. you should have enough intelligence not to combine the two. and if u r, then PLEASE dont drive it messes u up worse then when u drive drunk

    • ANSWER:
I think because they're new (a lot of people can't handle new things), they're trendy, and they're aimed at young people (although no one complains about teenagers ordering at Starbucks). They haven't yet been accepted as traditional drinks. Coca-Cola went through some weird hassles early in its history, including a case named "The United States Government v. Forty Barrels and Twenty Kegs of Coca-Cola," before being accepted as a fixture of the average American diet.

To be fair, energy drinks do seem to be more problematic than coffee. The extra cocktail of ingredients does seem to make the heart work harder than it would after drinking coffee, which increases the risk of heart attacks. Also, the large size and packaging encourage overconsumption and serious heart problems from chronic caffeine overdose.

  17. QUESTION:
What is taurine and what are its benefits?
I am a "social consumer" of energy drinks (I like them every once in a while), and I recently heard some disturbing news of what taurine really is. It was hear-say, so I'm not putting much weight on it, but I really want to know.

    • ANSWER:
Taurine is a naturally occuring chemical that acts as an emulsifier. It helps you digest and breakdown fats. In humans it helps in digestion and acts as a neurotransmitter. Check out the link below:

  18. QUESTION:
I don't know why people think energy drinks are evil?
    Red Bull for starter's
has about the average amount of caffine in a cup of coffee, 80 mg
    has added Taurine
It boosts, performance, concentration and reaction speed, vigilance, and stimulates metabolism.

Taurine is a essaintial amino acid, found meat, eggs, fish. This is brain energy, makes you concentrate and be smarter.

Sure I used to be a coffee drinker/ sometime coca-cola occasionally, but I have discovered so many therapeutic benefits since I sarted drinkign Red Bull, I know of adverse effects if you do not adhere to 2 cans max daily. But other than it seems pretty safe.

Is it better or worse than coke?, and why do people believe these energy drinks are unhelathy or evil or something. There absolutely fantastic! I drink 1x 473mL can everyday, the only thing I believe its hurting is my wallet.
Helps me concentrate when I'm studying + downing a can before a workout at the gym makes me workout much harder cuz I fleel all energetic!
And boost the heart rate! <3
Also lost weight, + have a six pack abs now.

    • ANSWER:
haha the answers above me are bullshit, or bullsperm...

and the marketing crap you actually believe's pretty funny.

Red bull has a crapload of sugar in it, and a dose of caffeine. That's all that's there. see all that b12 and amino acids and whatever else they claim gives benefits? either derives into caffeine or does nothing at all.

"Boost the heart rate" How can that be a positive thing? anyway you've bought into a mega-placebo effect, you're just taking your coffees with 9 sugars, and paying way more than you should be for red bulls.

"Taurine is a essaintial amino acid", wait so people who don't drink this are going to die?

@ any rate a pint of the stuff aint exactly high dose.

  20. QUESTION:
Are there health benefits to stop drinking coffee completely?
As a college student, I rely on coffee (sometimes energy drinks) to pull all nighters or get up early for class. I don't always have such bad sleeping habits, but for a while my three cups of coffee that I needed everyday was getting ridiculous. So I stopped completely. No energy drinks either. I'm trying to be healthy/ get into shape again by slowly cutting out other things from my diet (like a lot of processed foods). My dad got a little concerned and said that drinking coffee (in moderation) is actually good for someone like me who has low blood pressure. Any thoughts?

-Oh, and it's been about a month without all this caffeine and I feel pretty good now that I don't rely on any beverages to keep my energy up.

  21. QUESTION:
What are benefits real side effects of Serafem?
I was recently put on Serafem for my PMDD. I am taking it everyday. I noticed last night that I drank a rip it energy drink before I went to work out and I was in la la land pretty much the rest of the night. What are the benefits and side effects that you have found to come with the drug?

    • ANSWER:
The old drug is Prozac, the antidepressant made by Eli Lilly. The "new" version of Prozac is Serafem, a pink and lavender capsule prescribed for PMS and PMDD.

Eli Lilly conducted clinical trials and presented the U.S. Food and Drug Administration with results showing Serafem is effective with severe symptoms of PMS, which afflict about 5 percent of menstruating women.

Prozac is associated with insomnia, restlessness, nausea, and tension headaches, which normally go away within one to two weeks from the time it was first taken. One possible Prozac side effect, which remains for the time it is taken, is its effect on your sex life. It often reduces desire and can delay or interfere with orgasm, in both women and men. Fatigue and memory loss are other possible problems. These side effects subside when you stop taking the drug.

  22. QUESTION:
Whats the difference between Ensure and Boost?
I need to put on some extra pounds because of some meds I've been on.
But I have Anxiety and don't need the added benefit of an energy drink.
It says right on the label that Boost is an energy drink, but I'm wondering about
Ensure....Is it the same thing basically. Boost gives me too much energy that
    turns into Anxiety....God This Sucks!

Any drink supplement suggestions that only give calories and nutrition, not energy?

    • ANSWER:
they are just about the same except i drink ensure and on the label it says nutrition to help stay active healthy and energetic. it also says it helps strengthen you immune system. i personally recommend ensure boost doesnt really do anything just get you energetic. but personally it doesnt really get u too energetic but if your struggling with these issues maybe you should try ensure for a few days sadly all drink supplements have enrgy in them so look for some that have more nutrition percentages then energy hope i helped nd good luck

  24. QUESTION:
Bad or good health benefits of Taurine?
Particularly full throttle the energy drink.

    • ANSWER:
      Taurine amino acid information page
Taurine is a non-essential amino acid and is found in high concentrations in the white blood cells, skeletal muscles, central nervous system as well as the heart muscles. In adults, but not children, this nutrient can be manufactured from methionine in the body and from cysteine in the liver, but vitamin B6 must be present.

      Taurine required for
It is a key ingredient of bile, which in turn is needed for fat digestion, absorption of fat-soluble vitamins as well as the control of cholesterol serum levels in the body. (It is incorporated in the bile acid chenodeoxychloic acid, which emulsify the dietary fats) This nutrient is also used in the proper use of potassium, calcium as well as sodium in the body, and for maintaining cell membrane integrity. It is thought to be helpful with anxiety, hyperactivity, poor brain function and epilepsy as well as hydrating the brain. Taurine, together with zinc is also required for proper eye health and vision.

      Deficiency of taurine
A deficiency may impair vision and problems with fat metabolism may appear, and a theory exists that it may also be involved in epilepsy developing.

      Dosage
The dosage listed is the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA), but be aware that this dosage is the minimum that you require per day, to ward off serious deficiency of this particular nutrient. In the therapeutic use of this nutrient, the dosage is usually increased considerably, but the toxicity level must be kept in mind.

No dosage has been established, but people who take supplements normally take 2 grams, three times per day.

Toxicity and symptoms of high intake
No toxicity has been determined and most people would not require a supplement and even small children derive enough of it through human milk, or infant formulas.

      Best used with
Vitamin B6 is required by the body to synthesize this nutrient from other nutrients.

When more taurine may be required
Vegans who consume no eggs or dairy products ingest virtually no taurine through their diets, but normally have enough since the body can manufacture the requirements. Children with Down's syndrome may benefit from taurine, and women being treated for breast cancer as well as people with metabolic disorders, since metabolic disorders can cause loss of this nutrient via urine. Diabetics may also benefit from this nutrient, since this disease increase the need for this nutrient.

      Enemy of taurine
High intake of alcohol may cause the body not to be able to use it fully.

      Food sources
Taurine is mostly found in meat and fish, and the adult body can manufacture it.

      and here's some more:
Taurine is used famously as an active ingredient in energy drinks, such as "Red Bull".

Taurine is a nonessential sulfur-containing amino acid that functions with glycine and gamma-aminobutyric acid as a neuroinhibitory transmitter. At times of extreme physical exertion, the body no longer produces the required amounts of taurine, and a relative deficiency results. Taurine acts as a metabolic transmitter and additionally has a detoxifying effect and strengthens cardiac contractility. While taurine does not have a genetic codon and is not incorporated into proteins and enzymes, it does play an important role in bile acid metabolism. Taurine is incorporated into one of the most abundant bile acids, chenodeoxychloic acid where it serves to emulsify dietary lipids in the intestine, promoting digestion.

Taurine is a derivative of L-Methionine >>>>> L-Cysteine >>> Taurine. Taurine synthesis occurs in the liver and the brain. Concentrates of Taurine have also been found in extremely high concentrates in the brain, intestines and skeletal muscles.

Most amino acids have a L- or D- configuration, which means the molecule when put into a solution will rotate light either to the left (Levo=L) or the right (Dextro = D). Taurine does not polarize light and consequently does not have an L- or D- configuration.

It has been established that taurine concentration is extraordinarily high in the developing brain, and falls of sharply thereafter. This occurs at a time when the presumed synthetic pathway, via cysteine sulfinate decarboxylase, has little measurable activity, suggesting that a dietary source of taurine is essential. Moreover, it has been found that high concentrations of taurine are present in breast milk, which reflects the important need for taurine by the growing animal.

  25. QUESTION:
Is drinking this energy drink good or bad for me?
it's called Xenergy and it has no calories, sugar, or carbohydrates. It does have huge amounts of B vitamins though... like 250-500% per serving. will this benefit me or not?

    • ANSWER:
As a general rule I try to stay away from energy drinks. Loads of B vitamins could possibly be a very high dose of Niacin in disguise (this ordinarily is not a bad thing but some people have adverse reactions to larger doses. Like myself I get really hot and everything gets itchy as hell).

My energy drink of choice consists of green tea, yerba mate', or a little coffee. If you're looking for a workout boost I would recommend yerba or green tea.

Remember: the fewer artificial chemicals you put into your body, the less stress you place on your self-cleaning mechanisms, and the more energy can go towards exercise/work/recovery/recreation...whatever it is you want.

      Hope this helped.

all energy drinks are bad for you.one can is like 12 cups of coffee.horible for your heart

  29. QUESTION:
How do you raise your energy levels on a day-to-day basis?
I am a 21 year old college intern, who is stuck reading technical papers all day (upwards of 9 hour workdays). Lately I've been finding myself less and less productive, due to the fact that I am extremely tired. It's to the point where I'll be reading a document, and catch myself with my eyes closed multiple times. In addition, I can't remember the last time I woke up feeling refreshed and awake, and I often will snooze my alarm clock multiple times. I really need this to stop, although the work isn't the greatest I seriously cannot continue to keep putting this internship in jeopardy by my lack of energy during the day.

I have tried many things already:
Caffeine - whether a coffee or an energy drink, I will have caffeine in the mornings on my way to work and usually at about 1-2pm. In both instances, about 15-20 minutes after consuming it, I immediately feel drowsy again, and it isn't just the caffeine "not kicking in yet," the exhaustion stays with me.
Water - I increased my water consumption greatly (~1-1.5 gal/day) after hearing it will help me stay hydrated and have energy. It's safe to say I make more trips to the restrooms now, but still no added energy benefits
Taking a walk - again as with caffeine, I will take a brisk walk around my building or even outside multiple times daily, and I will feel energized for about 15 minutes before I start being extremely drowsy again.
Socializing - again only about 10-15 minutes before exhaustion sets in again
Getting more Sleep - I've kept my sleep schedule 10pm-6am for most days over the past 2-3 weeks. I still do not remember what it feels like to wake up and feel refreshed, and my problems during the day persist.

If anyone could offer their advice it would be greatly appreciated. Whether it's a way to get sleep, energy methods (that aren't caffeine), or a combination, even the slightest help is appreciated. Thank you!

    • ANSWER:
There are many different ways to boost your energy level.

A B50 or B100 is a very potent vitamin B complex including lots of vitamin B12 (the energy vitamin) and that should boost your energy level.

You could also take a high potency energy multivitamin that also includes lots of vitamin B12.

If you take vitamin B12 alone you are likely to create an imbalance with the other B vitamins which all interact so the B complex or a multivitamin is better than vitamin B12 alone.

Coenzyme Q10 is a good energy enzyme to take. It also slows down the aging process. It is mainly intended for people over 40 or even older such as over 50 or over 60.

You can also get more energy enzymes from more fruit and vegetables to boost your energy level.

Spirulina (very high in chlorophyll) is another energy boosting food. Liquid chlorophyll is another one.

  30. QUESTION:
How do I get more energy during the hours of noon to 6PM without relying on caffeine or sugar at all?
My daily routine usually runs between 7AM to midnight, in terms of being awake and trying to do things.

Between waking up at 7AM and noon, I'm in good shape, fully awake and having energy. However, I really start to nod off around 1PM or 2PM and become somewhat lethargic and unable to focus like I want to.

I try using coffee, esp. espresso coffee, and I can't seem to get any benefits from it. I don't drink soda anymore because of the horrible affects it has to your teeth and overall weight problems. So I want to cancel out coffee and don't want anything to do with soda or "energy drinks" (which are nothing more then glorified Mountain Dews)

Oddly enough, around 6PM or 7PM, I seem to get some energy and focus again, and have no problems at all between then and going to bed.

So, what can I do to improve my noon to 6PM doldrums?

Naps/siestas are unreliable and can't always be used in certain situations.

Is exercise the only option? Certain healthy foods?

    • ANSWER:
If you exercise regularly, your energy levels will be higher. Also try eating five small meals a day. Eating healthy, frequent meals will boost your metabolism and your energy levels.

Make sure that your meals are full of protein and fresh fruits and veggies.

Try to cut back on junk food...or any type of food that leaves you feeling "sluggish"

Another thing to try is taking a vitamin B12 or B6 supplement. Those will help a lot.

Also, get up from your desk and walk around a little bit. Sometimes a change of scenery will refresh and renew you.

Another thing to make sure you do....get enough water and sleep! Those two things go a long way to make ensure you will have more energy.

  32. QUESTION:
    coffee flavor?
Ive been seeing more and more health articles talking about the benefits of drinking coffee.Personally I've never been big on energy drinks or highly caffeinated drinks for that matter, but now I'm a little more excepting of it.so my question what is a healthy choice when it comes to coffee?(And I'm not talking about frappuccinos)
I don't drink soda or high sugar fruit drinks.
Black. In general, the more ingredients you add -- sugar, milk, chocolate -- the less healthy your java, says Peter R. Martin, M.D., director of Vanderbilt University's Institute for Coffee Studies. But recent studies have revealed that black coffee can help you fight off Alzheimer's disease, colon cancer, depression, and even type-2 diabetes. Your best bet is filtered black coffee (as opposed to unfiltered brews like espresso), since filtering may take away some of the fats that have been shown to raise cholesterol. And the caffeine? Despite the bad rap, it may be the reason that coffee lowers Parkinson's disease risk.

    • ANSWER:
The healthiest choice is to just drink it black. If you need something in it, just try a splash of milk or soy milk. Use pure cane sugar if you like it sweet, or even honey. Don't use white refined sugar or any of those sweetened coffee creamers... they're full of chemicals.

  33. QUESTION:
Does anyone know how long it takes to see benefits to drinking water regularly?
For the past couple of months I've been drinking water regularly, everyday. I thought I would have noticed some benefits to my energy levels but the only thing I've noticed is that I don't get headaches as much as I used to. Will I notice anything else?

    • ANSWER:
something inside felt cleaner when i swapped carbonated drinks for water. My skin is not improved much but I find that excercise is better now and can run longer before i got that gasping dry throat stage. Without being too graffic, my bowel activity seems less frequent than before and that is a sluggish feeling. I'm drinking 3-4 pint of water throughout the day :)

Not really a boost in energy, but the energy feels more organic rather than energy from coffee and fatty food yeknow?

  34. QUESTION:
What are the benefits of drinking white cranberry juice?
Also is it true that drinking plain water is bad; it has to have a little sugar or a little salt in it otherwise the plain water absorbes energy? Because I am 13 and I drink ALOT of just plain filtered water, because I dont drink soda. So its either white cranberry and peach juice or plain water usually just plain water so I'd like to no the benefits of that or the downsides.

Question about the drink Red Bull?
I love this drink. I drink it because it taste great. I don't drink it a lot. Maybe 2 cans a week. Not a lot at all. Right? Anyway....

I have heard many mixed reviews about this drink. People say to drink this before a test because it helps you concentrate. Then i hear people say don't do that because it makes you hyper.

Then i hear to take it before you work out. Then i hear DO NOT do that.

People say this is not a energy drink. So what is it?

So I'm pretty confused about this drink. I guess my question is... What are the benefits of drinking Red Bull?

    • ANSWER:
Benefits? Sugar, absurd amount of caffeine, great way to part with your money.

Gatorade is still the drink of choice for athletes (some of the most active people in society) -- you don't see them switching to these energy drinks (maybe to hawk, but not to drink), that should tell you something.

BTW, take a peppermint before taking a test, as peppermint actually does help clear the mind.

  37. QUESTION:
What Benefits Would Eating A Lot More Vegetables Have?
Well, I am a male and 16 years old (1 month til 17), i weigh 68 kg and i am about 180 cm tall. and everyday for the last year i have been doing push ups and sit ups and on occasions i go for a run. My muscles are not very defined though. I mean, i am a hell of a lot stronger than what i used to be, but you can not really see it physically, mainly because i have got like 1 cm of fat as a layer over my muscles and its annoying as hell.

I drink about 1 glass of water every 2 days on average (i know its beyond bad lol). I drink A LOT of energy drinks (I know this is bad too) and i hardly ever eat vedge, in fact i do not eat much at all, some times i don't eat for a day or so (just not always hungry). But i heard eating vedge and drinking water can help muscles and lose weight, is it true?

BTW i get extremely bloated and find it very hard to do number 2's.

    • ANSWER:
You can't gain muscles if you don't have any fat. You need to eat more to gain the weight to turn the weight into muscle which will give you a more defined look.

also, drink tons more water. gotta keep hydrated!!

  38. QUESTION:
Can I purchase things from Starbucks using an EBT card (food benefits)?
Washington state, if it makes a difference. Just kind of curious about what can and can't be bought with it. After a bit of research, I learned that things like candy and some energy drinks are okay. But what about things from Starbucks? Does that count as "prepared"?

Also, while I'm asking. I know I can't get food from a fast food restaurant since it's obviously prepared. But what about getting something like a soda or a shake from a fast food restaurant?
@RoyS: Ah, I see. And since they just flat-out don't accept the card, I take it purchasing soda isn't possible either?
@RoyS again: Ah, mkay then, thanks for the help.

    • ANSWER:
Most fast food (which Starbucks is) places will not accept EBT cards. Prepared foods are generally not allowed to be purchased.

ON EDIT: You can purchase soda in the grocery store (cans, bottles), but not at a fast food restaurant. You also cannot get shakes, slurpees, or anything else prepared

ON EDIT AGAIN: Your best bet is to use your food stamp benefits in the grocery store. You can buy ANYTHING that is food; no paper, tobacco, or alcohol products; candy, soda, lobster, whatever they sell that is food, as long as it is not prepared, and served hot, is allowed. For instance, my local Weis Market sells hot pizza and baked chicken. I couldn't buy that with my food stamps. They also sell pre-made cold sandwiches, and cold (cooked) chicken. I could buy those. If you have questions, go to the Customer Service counter, and ask before you shop.

  39. QUESTION:
Can Glucose added into food have any increased affect on the human body?
I was going through the list of an ingredients on an energy drink can and came across Glucose. I know glucose is blood sugar etc. etc., but I was wondering if getting Glucose pretty much pre-processed in your food had any added benefits. For example: Would ingesting glucose make it easier on the body to get the glucose for energy? Would there just be less refining of ingested food?

    • ANSWER:
The glucose would be immediately available, which is why it is called an energy drink. More accurate name would be a "quick energy" drink. Other sugars will provide as much energy, but it will be more gradual as their molecules are broken down into glucose.

  43. QUESTION:
HOW do Network Marketing Systems get started, how do they work EXACTLY, who benefits the most?? IE. MonaVie?
I think I've gotten to the point where I won't immediately label a network marketing system as a SCAM (I've been scammed before by one though in the past when I was in college, which DEFINITELY left a bad taste in my mouth with these things). I attended a MonaVie seminar last night (a network marketing business that sells a health energy drink made of acai berries. Now, I'm not arguing the awesomeness of the product (whether it is or not is irrelevant). I am wondering EXACTLY how such a business works. I've researched a lot this morning about this stuff and some pieces of the puzzle have started to connect. For example, it's not as fast or easy as they make it sound!! I know most of the big money makers already have built a team of loyal people who will go from one business to the next WITH them (a team that took years to build). I'm still unclear as to how exactly this thing works. And who the heck starts these things, and WHY?! Individuals? The product owners?

Bonus question if you have the time or knowledge: While it is not a scam, I realize that such businesses call for a certain personality and assertiveness. What are some of the SOCIAL implications of getting involved in such a business. Does it really alienate you from others? I know it depends on the kind of person you are, but I am getting the vibe that the NATURE of a network marketing system leaves a person with no choice, if they want to succeed: they HAVE to be aggressive (in their own way) and they have to do what it takes to sell their business/product.

This is a lot to ask, I know, but please know that I appreciate every and all sincere responses. Thanks in advance :-) .
P.S. I'm not asking anyone to tell me any success stories. I am a very straight-forward person, and I really don't take kind to smokescreens or people beating around the bush. I think it's disrespectful actually to anybody (so that kinda turned me off at the monavie meeting, as I left with more questions than answers). Straight, informative answers are much appreciated!!
Heart Broken: If there was a prize for WORST ANSWER EVER, you would have NAILED IT! Congrats!

    • ANSWER:
You're right about the teams who move from business to business making all the money.

The only "marketing" strategies they're going to teach you when you join is to harass your friends and family, or even strangers in grocery store check-out lines.

Maybe one or two people will join you or buy the juice. You might make a few bucks. And then that's that.

Monavie chose the MLM business model to distribute their product because I guess they assumed it would sell better by word-of-mouth.

It's working great for the company, since they are selling a lot of their juice this way. But it's not so great for the thousands of individual distributors who only signed up because they went to a meeting and were promised easy riches.

However, you can still be successful even if you haven't already built a team the old-fashioned way. Just because the company won't teach you real-world marketing and business building strategies, doesn't mean you can't learn them yourself and apply them to your Monavie distribution.

There are a lot of training resources out there that show you how to market an MLM business just like a "real" business with it's own products or services.

Should I Drink Chocolate Milk After a Workout If I'm trying to lose Weight?
So lately I've been trying to lose weight so I've been going out on runs and doing sprints. I will usually go everyday, sometimes even twice per day; but my body really starts to feel tired and don't get as good workouts in. I always avoid gatorade or those types of energy drinks because my body turns sugar straight into fat (it sucks soooo bad). I will usually drink water, but Ive realized it doesn't really do the job. I've read that chocolate milk is great, but I went to the store today to buy some, and the health label didn't seem the best. It had fat and a lot of calories.

So I was wondering if I should avoid drinking chocolate milk, and if it would reverse the benefits of working out if I drink it.

    • ANSWER:
Low fat chocolate milk is actually a pretty good post workout drink....

  49. QUESTION:
What nutritional topic would interest you or others the most?
    Hi,

For college, I have to select a topic in relation to nutrition (as part of a fitness course) that I will be carrying out later this semester. It will be a 10 minute PowerPoint presentation in front of my own class as well as anyone else who may see the flyers the teachers going to put up that may have interest in the topic, which is why I want it to be both interesting, and something that many people may not know much about. At the end of my presentation, I’ll also have to hand out a flyer to those who attended for a summary to take away.

Examples of topics that the teacher told me have already been taken are Energy Drinks, and Vegetarians. I’d imagine the idea there would be to talk about the benefits, risks, how much, when to take energy drinks, and how to eat well being a vegetarian. So what topic(s) would interest you or you know would interest others? :)

    Thanks

    • ANSWER:
hormonal causes of obesity. most of the times it is either PCOS or thyroid or type 2 diabetes that leads to obesity, and very few are aware of it. i have often seen people with a dark ring around their neck - a sign of type 2 diabetes, and they dont even know of their problem.
