If you really want a jump start, Robusto coffee has even more caffeine (2x) that of the better Arabica beans. The only problem would be that it's more bitter & will need milk & sugar. It will still be better for you than any soda or energy drink.

You should train with the particular sports drink, etc. to be provided so that you're used to it. And if nothing is provided, or if it's a sports drink that lacks carbs, etc., you need to strategize around that.

      Try Guarana. Its made as a soft drink that tastes most similar to cream soda. And I recommend you drink it room temperature. The taste is so delicate that when I bought a can cold, it tasted like I was drinking cold water. Yuck.
      Also, if you want it in pill form, go to the GNC and get it.
      Guarana has a form of caffeine in it called Guarnine. The pill form says it has 36% 'caffeine' in it.
      I just looked it up and it says it's a central nervous system simulant. Sounds like something you are looking for.

      Instead of energy drinks I would try taking vitamin b complex (but make sure you eat a good meal before taking the vitamins)

      Have a cup of herbal tea containing ginseng or ginkgo biloba. The herbs naturally minimize the negative effects of stress hormones and fortify those all-important adrenals, leaving you with more energy to cope. Look for teas whose labels tout their stress-relieving benefits.

    Help! I need to get ready for work in an hour? Best energy drink?
    I got off work at midnight last night.. I woke up at 2:30pm yesterday. I have to be to work at 7am and work until 2:30pm.. It's 5am now and I'm still not asleep :( .. What's the best energy drink on the market right now? I don't care about taste I just have to stay awake for work. Please anything that will help me stay up. I'm desperate!

    • ANSWER:
      As a consistant consumer of energy drinks, I would recommend "No Fear" made by the Sobe company. It's my favorite and go to. Generally what you want to look for is a high level of B vitamins. Those will give you a huge energy boost, without much of the crash. Caffeine of course works very well, but you have to keep it in your system or you'll crash.

      Also, make sure you keep relatively active, keeping your blood flowing. Healthy bloodflow improves awareness and staves off the pangs of sleep. Light massage (Temples and along the eyebrow) works very well. And drink lots of water! B vitamins will dehydrate you, and water jump starts your metabolism. Not to mention frequent bathroom breaks will keep ya awake too XD

    What's the best energy drink?
    I work almost all day so I like to drink alot of energy drinks. I've tried red bull, rock star, monster and full throttle but so far the best was no fear-gold by sobe. The best tasting was monster but I don't care about the taste.
    I tried vault too. It's the best tasting but the weakest of all of the energys I've tried. When I'm working I couldn't care less about taste.
    I would like to get some actual statistics. Which one has the most caffeine, taurine and all that other energy drink crap.

      There' Bawls which is a highly caffeinated soda and there's Sobe Energy drink and let's not forget Coca-Cola and Pepsi.

    Which is the best energy drink that is good for your health and not too addicting: Red Bull, Monster, or Rock star.

      All of them are bad for you..and can be addicting
      but taste wise, I would say monster...the green one
      Its really good :)

    What is the best energy drink you have tried?
    Both in taste and energy. I like an orange juice one ( think it is called energy juice). I also like the AMPED energy teas. None of these are that strong though.

      amps are really good but dont give u as much energy as red bull! redbull is really really good, as a matter of fact, im drinkin one right now woooo! i can type for days and days. but ishould stop before i get off topic

      My favorite by FAR is Rockstar.

      Then comes Full Throttle.

      I don't really like anything else.

      But seriously, I cannot recommend Rockstar enough.

    Ok so I know that there are tons of different energy drinks out there. Like...The popular Red Bull, or the larger Monster (and then all of the other monster drinks like assault II, and chaos ) also there is rock star, and adrenaline rush, and I also know most of them have a lo-crab or no caffeine option as well..... So, I know there are more but those are the big name brands out there. So what I am asking is ... What is the Best Energy Drink out there ???

      I prefer Monster because it is the one that goes down easiest...by that i mean it doesnt have that nasty "energy drink after-taste"...after monster...i would say rockstar...has a slight after-taste to it...but it's not as bad as others....worst by far has to be NOS...that stuff is practically canned urine.

      I like XS..... They have about a dozen flavors and all are good... My favorite is cranberry grape or root beer... their about .00 a can... If you want more info check my profile...

      Water, then Gatorade. The rest have caffeine and tons of sugar, and you will crash.
