When fighting recurring yeast infections, your diet and lifestyle are important tools. Knowledge is also important and knowing what your candida triggers are can help you manage this problem in your life.
There are candida foods to avoid and foods that you can and should eat that will help you or that will hurt your efforts. Yeast infections thrive on yeast foods and on sugar and certain foods and beverages can work either for you or against you in your quest to normalize your body’s chemistry.
We all have a certain amount of yeast in our body. As a matter of fact we have all sorts of different types of microorganisms swimming inside us and some of them have very important roles. The candida albicans need to be there but when they overpopulate your body, that’s when the problems start.
Some people are very prone to excessive bacteria of this sort and those people can find that they need to look at diet and lifestyle very carefully to be able to manage the yeast population in their body. The alternative could be discharge, bloating, food cravings, sinus problems, insomnia or listlessness and other symptoms. Candida is a growing health concern that is becoming more mainstream as people recognize it as a recurring infection in their bodies that can become more than bothersome.
Chemistry plays a big part of your body’s health and factors like your pH level can impact how fast unhealthy yeasts can thrive and grow. Consuming alkalizing foods and drinks can be a big help and you might need to follow a strict diet for a time to learn about what your candida triggers are.
What about beer, wine and other alcoholic beverages?
Alcohol contains two things that candida love. Yeast and sugar. Because of that, you could create a candida feast inside your body if you are already at high level of albicans or low body pH level for various reasons. It’s very advisable to refrain from drinking beer, wine or any fermented food or liquid when you are dealing with yeast infections.
Can I ever drink beer again?
You don’t’ necessarily have to remove these beverages from your diet forever but while you’re discovering what makes your candida infections flare up it’s wise to remove all yeast infection diet prohibited foods and drinks for at least four weeks. Many experts will suggest that after that period, you begin adding one restricted food at a time to your diet in order to see what impact it has on your body.
Another way to ensure that a small amount of a candida diet restricted food or drink is not going to have a big impact on you is to follow a list of approved foods and drinks as well as work with other natural remedies so that your body is continuously working towards a harmonious environment. In a case like this, it could be that your body is at such a healthy level that an occasional splurge with alcoholic beverages won’t be detrimental to your body chemistry.

QUESTION:
Is it dangerous to drink beverages from lead crystal glasses?
Can lead leach out of lead crystal glassware into beverages? I use them daily for all types of beverages. Should this be avoided?-
ANSWER:
Be cautious if you drink out of lead crystal glassware used for beverages.Crystal contains large amounts of heavy metal. Crystalline glass can contain lead, zinc, barium, or potassium oxide. Lead crystal is 24 percent or more lead oxide, while full lead crystal contains 30 percent or more. The lead (or barium or zinc) can leach out of the crystal into the beverage inside and the amount of lead in the beverage will increase as long as the beverage sits in the crystal. This leaching is increased if the beverage is acidic like soda or orange juice. Here are a few suggestions to minimize lead exposure:
* Pre-soak crystal glasses with a room temperature solution of 50 percent vinegar or lemon juice and 50 percent water for 24 hours. Empty out the glass, rinse it with warm water, and hand wash it with mild detergent and warm water before serving your food or drinks.
* Don't store liquid in crystal decanters for any length of time. Pre-clean the decanter as above and then fill the decanter just before using it to serve the beverage. Remove the liquid from the decanter as soon as possible.
* Don't serve hot liquids in crystal, as heat will increase lead leaching in the beverage.
* Don't drink from lead crystal if you are pregnant and don't serve drinks to young children in crystal, as lead is particularly dangerous to both babies and children.

QUESTION:
What types of alcoholic beverages have no brewer's yeast in them? Or have it filtered out completely?
I've read several posts here to try to find more information, but haven't been able to find an answer to this. I've read that yeast is central to the alcohol brewing process, but I've also read that some alcoholic beverages have processed and filtered it out.I took an allergy test recently which said that I'm allergic to brewer's yeast - does this cover all the yeast strains in Japanese Sake for example? Or are there strains I can have?
Thanks!
-
ANSWER:
MasterPython is correct. But I will elaborate. "Hard" alcohol is distilled by evaporation to get the purest form. Thus all the flavoring ingredients and yeast are left behind.Beer is full of yeast, well the one's worth drinking. I am so sorry that you are allergic to brewers yeast. I don't know what I would do.

QUESTION:
What kinds of alcoholic beverages can a Catholic priest drink?
I am well aware that there is no problem what-so-ever with a Catholic priest drinking wine for his own enjoyment, but how about other kinds of alcoholic beverages such as gin, brandy, whiskey, rum, etc? Does the Roman Catholic Church have any sanctions concerning certain kinds of liquors?Thank you.
-
ANSWER:
deardogm is correct - there is no general prohibition on the type of liquor Roman Catholic priests may drink.True history: German monks were "rationed" (if I remember correctly) 1/4 barrel of beer per day. A certain abbot, concerned with the unseemly degree of levity that beer engendered in the monks in his care, sent a barrel of beer to Rome and a letter explaining his concern and asking the Vatican officials for an evaluation. The worthies of Rome, wine drinkers, found the stuff extremely unpleasant. They returned a letter congratulating the abbot on the devoutness of monks willing to drink the (to them) vile stuff. The beer-loathing Romans concluded that drinking beer was an act of religious self-repudiation, like wearing a hair shirt or other self-inflicted torture!

QUESTION:
what's the difference between these alcoholic beverages?
what's the difference between vodka, liquor, beer, rum, gin, wine, and malt beverages? i know that drinks like smirnoff and bacardi are carbonated and on the front of the bottle it says malt beverage, but on the back it says flavored beer. ALSO, when you go to places like Chilis and you get a margarita, what is the alcohol that they put in there? thanks in advance!-
ANSWER:
Vodka is distilled from grain or potatoes. It is highly distilled for purity.
Liquor is not specific. It refers to a variety of distilled beverages most of which are made from grain. Scotch, vodka, rum, rye and gin are all liquor.
Beer is fermented barley. Fermented beverages are lower proof (alcohol content) than distilled beverages.
Rum is distilled from sugarcane.
Gin is distilled grain flavored with herbs. a variety of herbs can be used.
Wine is fermented grapes.
Malt beverages are made similarly to beer. The term is used in marketing to distinguish malt liquor from beer which may carry a lower-class connotation than malt liquor. It can be flavored with a large variety of flavors and is usually higher proof than beer.
Smirnoff and Bacardi are brand names. Smirnoff is best known as a vodka maker though they also make malt beverages. Bacardi is best known as a rum maker.
The alcohol in margaritas is tequila which is distilled from agave cactus.

QUESTION:
Why is cocaine illegal when acoholic beverages are worst?
Many people die from drunk driving, lung failure, and other effect of acoholic beverages. And I think acoholic beverages are much worst than cocaine. Why is it that cocaine are banned while acoholic beverages are legal.-
ANSWER:
Cocaine is a lot more powerful and euphoric which makes it much more addictive. People do not generally have a few snorts of cocaine and go home, or spend a few hours getting high and stop. The addiction is so powerful, people will spend all their money and keep using it (day and night). It will take over your life in a hurry. It will ruin you financially, affect your mind, emotions, and sanity. It is not a drug that should ever be legalized. You can make an argument for weed, that's fine but no way cocaine. I have been on it for a few periods of my life and all I can say is it got the best of me every time. Financially is the worse because of the cost, and the obsession to keep using. I have drank for several years and that never really got me anything like coke did. There is no comparison!

QUESTION:
How is the permission for selling of alcoholic beverages in the State of Massachusetts?
Are convenience stores and diners allowed to sell alcoholic beverages in the State of Massachusetts? If they are, may they sell distilled spirits, like whiskey?
If they're not, where can I found distilled spirits? Only in liquor stores?
-
ANSWER:
Alcohol Licenses ("beer & wine" and "all alcohol") are assigned by the state to each city/town on a per capita (population) basis. Each city/town has a committee that regulates the issuing of these licenses. Most, if not all, convenience stores and supermarkets have a "beer & wine" license and may not sell hard liquor. The only places I know you can get hard liquor (distilled spirits) is a liquor store.
There are also licenses ("beer & wine" and "all alcohol") for the serving of alcohol, which are also regulated on a per capta basis.

QUESTION:
What kind of eating disorder is someone drinking beverages more than eating food?
Well, my friend has been drinking beverages more than eating today. I mean, today, she only ate three spoons of noodles and a slice of pizza, and she is full the whole day. But she drinks more frequently than she eats that she could still finish a whole bottle of milk in one sitting! Is this a disorder? What is wrong?-
ANSWER:
Well, I have an eating disorder and everyone I know who is anorexic would NEVER eat an entire slice of pizza or noodles voluntarily. Maybe she's developing an eating disorder though, because people tend to start out just lessening their diets and then work there way down to less and less food. And some of us go on certain diets, like juice diets and stuff. Check what she's drinking. If it's got calories in it it's probably not an eating disorder because she's obviosusly not counting calories. And if she's drinking milk, that has crazy calories in it, so it's probably not an eating disorder.
Nevertheless, I would talk to her about it, just in case. Just let her know that you're there and want her to be healthy. Even though she doesn't yet have an eating disorder, she could be in the beginning stages of it and they're earlier to stop the earlier they are detected. Good luck!!!

According to WebMD, doctors used to recommend that moms take in an additional 500 calories daily. But now experts say the nutritious quality of what you eat, not how much, matters more. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that nursing mothers build complex carbohydrates -- some of the best foods to eat while breastfeeding -- into their daily intake. These include:• Veggies like broccoli, cauliflower, squash and even bell peppers or beans.
• Fruits like oranges, melons, apples, berries, peaches and plums.
• Whole grains such as brown rice and whole-wheat or rye bread.Protein and fat are also important and come in the form of vegetable oils, butter or mayo. These additions to your diet will help you create the extra-fatty and satisfying milk expressed during the end of each feeding.
And when we think of milk we naturally think of calcium. But you don’t have to drink milk to produce milk. You can make up the recommended five daily servings by heading for the yogurt, cheese or even nondairy items like salmon, sesame seeds or tofu.
Now that you know what to eat, you still have to consider what will settle well with your baby. All of what’s recommended for you isn’t all going to work for your nursing bundle. Your little one will actually let you know when he or she isn’t getting enough of what they need -- the number of dirty diapers will go down. And if they’re getting too much of something that doesn’t agree with them, fussiness and gassiness will reign.
Baby showing signs of discomfort? Review your menu for the day. Common offenders include the following:
• Caffeinated products like chocolate, coffee, soda and tea (think about how an overload of these foods can wreck your sleep patterns).
• Spicy foods, garlic or cinnamon.
• Soy, eggs, wheat and nuts.
• Citrus fruits and juices.
• Certain veggies: The foods that make adults’ digestive tracks object can affect baby the same way and include cabbage, broccoli, corn or cucumbers. As for alcohol, beer or wine enjoyed occasionally shouldn’t interrupt your baby’s comfort. But limit it to one drink to avoid any of the alcohol getting into your milk.
Finally, if you think your diet is missing something, be careful about self-regulating with herbs or supplements -- goldenseal, St. John’s Wort, feverfew, even mint or parsley can dry up your milk supply. Any nutritional imbalance that you think you may be creating by avoiding certain foods can be remedied, but always consult with your doctor before introducing anything uncommon into your diet.

I live in a small town, and we are wanting to have a concert every weekend in the summer with local bands performing. I do not own a business, basically we want to be able to charge admission to the concerts and have a concession stand that sales food and alcoholic beverages. The place we want to do this is 10 miles outside the city limits. What sort of permits would we need to do this every weekend for the sale of alcohol and food as well as to have the local bands play in this rural area?-
ANSWER:
First you need a permit from the municipality to have the concert. You need a Ein Number from the IRS, also a Board of Health Certificate for the concession stand. The Licensing Liquor Authority will issue you the license for Alcoholic beverages and finally a Sales tax number from your state.

QUESTION:
Why do the lobbists for alcoholic beverages refuse to allow the ingredients to be put on the labels?
A local University did the analysis of several different types of alcoholic beverages and the results were not allowed to be made public. Where is the freedom of information? Apparently the results were so condemning that the public would never consume such a vile product if they were aware of how toxic these beverages actually are.-
ANSWER:
It's all about secrets and competition. It is not at all limited to alcoholic beverages. Every food or beverage that you see with the words "natural flavors" and/or "artificial flavors" is not listing many of the ingredients. As long as the government has deemed certain chemicals to be non-threatening below a certain parts per million of billion, that chemical does not have to be listed on the label. "Natural flavors" may contain literally hundreds of chemicals, some of them extremely dangerous in high quantities.

QUESTION:
What are some good beverages to mix with Everclear alcohol?
how much of the alcohol content should I fill into the glass (1/2 or 1/3 for example) to get a smooth and tasty drink that is not too strong? Does this fraction apply to all mixed beverages or vary according to the amount of proof inside the wine/beer/liquor?-
ANSWER:
Everclear is a dangerous mistress, use with caution! That said, you can mix it with any juice really, Cranberry, orange juice, Slushies from sonic or 7-eleven. Try to stay away from anything thats carbonated, the CO2 makes alcohol absorption rate increase. As far as ratio goes, thats a personal preference, I would do one shot(1oz) per 16oz of mixer(juice). If that isnt zesty enough for ya, kick it up a notch with another shot.Once again, be careful! Everclear is fun, but you can go from zero to shitfaced really quick!

QUESTION:
Does drinking different beverages with Adderall change how it works?
I am taking Adderall for my ADHD (15 mg) and one day I took it with apple juice, and I got really bad headaches and kept getting hot and cold flashes. A couple days later, I took it with orange juice, and I didn't have headaches or hot/cold flashes. So I'm just curious, if drinking different beverages could change the side effects and the strength of the medication.*and I don't mean alcoholic beverages by the way.
-
ANSWER:
well, not really, but its best to drink it with water, because its easier and faster to get absorbed, rather than, lets say pop. also, anything with acidicty, like oj or a juice like that, will effect you, thats why you got a headache. but good luck!:)
