Energy drinks play in the 'all natural ingredients' niche. Also, they are riding on the busy trend - people are so active and so busy and so burned out after their activities that they need energy - what is a better way to get energy than an energy drink.

      Best taste to me by far is Rockstar.
      But you want effective? Does that mean most sustained energy without a crash? Or most caffeine?
      I know from experience, that even sitting through classical music class where I couldn't stay awake for the life of me, a 5-hour energy kept me 100% wide awake for the following class.

      However you can take a triple sized monster, or Rockstar and have an OD of caffeine which is dangerous.

      Few months ago i did marketing research on bottled water consumption in Canada and bumped on some data for energy drinks. Without knowing Malaysia and its stats, it is tough to tell exactly, but there are some rough estimates.
      I hope you can use it as a frame and make the math yourself.
      Energy drinks count for approximately 20% of the soft drink market and the trends are for +10% growth annually (additional 2% annual bite from the soft drinks market share). Red Bull has about 40% of the energy drinks market share in NA. If there are 15 major energy drinks, and 5 of them capture 85% or over of the market share it makes that the rest are fighting for 1.5-2% each.
      Now, you can look for soft drinks consumption in Malaysia and apply this proportions.

      I would say Redline. It's meant to be a workout drink and only meant for people 18 and over. They come in different flavors, like grape and my favorite green apple. If you do get a bottle only drink half of it especially if you never drank it before.

      You should look at the ingredients that make it an energy drink. Many energy drinks use caffine as their "kick". A safer option might be "Emergen-C". It is a vitamin C supplement that you add to water.

      As a consistant consumer of energy drinks, I would recommend "No Fear" made by the Sobe company. It's my favorite and go to. Generally what you want to look for is a high level of B vitamins. Those will give you a huge energy boost, without much of the crash. Caffeine of course works very well, but you have to keep it in your system or you'll crash.

      Also, make sure you keep relatively active, keeping your blood flowing. Healthy bloodflow improves awareness and staves off the pangs of sleep. Light massage (Temples and along the eyebrow) works very well. And drink lots of water! B vitamins will dehydrate you, and water jump starts your metabolism. Not to mention frequent bathroom breaks will keep ya awake too XD

That way, you'll make a bunch of money, but not have to distribute competitively!

    TaB energy is marketed as "Fuel to be Fabulous" but does that really appeal to anyone? I have to write a brand strategy for a class and I am just trying to get a sense of how people feel about the product. How would you market TaB energy?

      I would market Tab as a crash fit for a king. I ran out of my Advanced Cell Therapy. ACT lasts all day long. My friend gave me one of her Tabs and 2 hours to the minute, I crashed and I crashed hard. It would have been better if I wouldn't have taken it in the first place.
