Because of 21st Century living, we drive more, we exercise less, we eat larger portions (because we wait too long between meals), and we drink more liquid beverages than ever before.
Big corporations are well aware of this and have recently come up with a huge variety of beverages that claim to be good for us. I'm talking about energy drinks, vitamin water, protein water, sports drinks, sweetened teas, juice drinks, and sodas of all kinds. They're cheap to make and easy to sell.
According to researchers from the Department of Nutrition at the University of North Carolina, dietary records of U.S. adults from as far back as 1965 show that the percentage of the average adult's calories from beverages has nearly DOUBLED. Big corporations have tricked us into thinking these products are good for our health - but they are not. We have been fooled.
But there is actually a beverage that is the true aFountain of Youtha.
We should drink this all day long instead of ANY of the beverages listed above. Plus, it's super inexpensive and is available EVERYWHERE. I'm talking about good old-fashioned water!
Here's why it's a waste of money and bad for our health to drink anything else.
Energy drinks: These cause dehydration (makes you thirsty for more), and upset our natural blood sugar levels which causes fat storage and bad carb cravings.
Vitamin Water: They use very low quality supplements in an attempt to convince that this product is somehow ahealthya. There are far better ways to spend our money on truly healthful products. The process used to make these added supplements remain mixed in the water causes the product to upset our natural blood sugar levels which causes fat storage and bad carb cravings.
Protein Water: They use very cheap protein supplements which are difficult to digest and are incomplete proteins. As with vitamin water, the process used to make these added supplements remain mixed in the water causes the product to upset our natural blood sugar levels which causes fat storage and bad carb cravings.
Sports Drinks: (Gatorade, etc) These types of products boast fast burning carbs for energy, as well as electrolytes needed because of depletion during exercise. The fact is, unless you are a top notch athlete that engages in vigorous exercise for hours at a time, these products upset our natural blood sugar levels which causes fat storage and bad carb cravings. For the normal person, it's far better to eat a piece of fresh fruit after your workout. (It's cheaper, too.) Learn more hear on wellness http://www.womens-health-wellness.cup-of-life.com/Womens-Health-Wellness.html.
Sweetened and Sugar Free Tea in a bottle: These cause dehydration (makes you thirsty for more) and the ones with added sugar are obviously bad for us. But even the ones with artificial sweeteners upset our natural blood sugar levels which causes fat storage and bad carb cravings.
Juice Drinks: Even the ones with areal fruit juicea are pasteurized and usually 'concentrated'. These processes not only destroy many of the most important nutrients, the natural pectin (from fruit) is destroyed - causing the carbohydrates to be absorbed too quickly. This causes fat storage and bad carb cravings.
Soda: Whether these contain sugars or artificial sweeteners, soda is loaded with chemicals and contain nothing nutritional. Even diet soda upsets our natural blood sugar levels which causes fat storage and bad carb cravings.
Instead of wasting money on these products, drink water - bottled or filtered from your tap. Water contains no calories, uses virtually no energy to pass through our systems, and cleans and purifies many of our organs, and significantly promotes good health. Our bodies are designed to drink water only - and lots of it. (at least 8 glasses per day)
Replace a bad habit with a new one by drinking throughout each day. After a few weeks, not only will you not miss your old beverages, you'll feel better and water will begin to taste amazing!
Water is the only true aFountain of Youtha.

QUESTION:
What are the pros and cons of energy drinks?
This fad for energy drinks had come about. I never really drank energy drinks, because i heard it was bad for your heart.I want to try some but I dont want to be like those addicted people who cant function without one.so what are the pros and cons?-
ANSWER:
Your question sparked my interest, and I found this information fromhttp://diet.ivillage.com/issues/isnacks/0,,rtrn,00.html
ENERGY DRINKS
Do energy drinks live up to their hype? Can they really increase your energy levels, boost your concentration and alertness, stimulate your metabolism, improve your stamina and help you leap over tall buildings or meet your latest work deadline? These combinations of caffeine, herbs, vitamins and amino acids certainly sound scientific -- but do they work? And if they really are effective, are they safe? The answer depends on your individual metabolism and preferences. Some people swear by energy drinks. They say the concoctions can't be beat for getting them through their workday or giving them a boost before exercise. Others find the combination of caffeine and sugar leaves them feeling jittery, nervous and irritable. But sales of energy drinks have doubled in the past year, so someone's slurping them up.
Pros: If you're a caffeine junkie, energy drinks may be right up your alley. Instead of coffee or soda, enjoy Blue Ox or Power House for an afternoon pick-me-up. A running buddy of mine chugs a can of Red Bull before every long run for added zip. The amount of caffeine in most of these products is similar to that in one cup of brewed coffee, so gauge your tolerance accordingly.
Cons: Definitely do not mix energy drinks with alcohol. The combination can leave you feeling worse than when you started. If you try to add activity into the mix (running, biking or even dancing the night away) you could be in for major trouble -- some small studies show changes in heart rhythm resulting from this combination. Pregnant women and young children should avoid energy drinks as well. No one knows what potential pregnancy complications could result if you indulge in these drinks while you're expecting. Because of their smaller body size, children experience greater negative effects from energy drinks. Finally, consider the calories: There are usually 100 to 130 in each 8-ounce serving.
SPORTS DRINKS
In 1965, doctors at the University of Florida developed the first sports drink with their football team in mind. Their goal? To encourage athletes who practice in the brutal Florida heat and humidity to consume adequate amounts of fluid and electrolytes for optimum athletic performance. The result was Gatorade -- basically water with added carbohydrates, sodium and potassium. Today there are a variety of similar sports drinks in a mind-boggling array of flavors and neon colors designed to tempt your taste buds. The question remains: Do they really improve athletic performance?Pros: Studies clearly show that athletes -- even weekend warriors and kids running around their backyards -- benefit from chugging sports drinks instead of water. Why? We tend to drink 25 percent to a whopping 90 percent more of flavored sports drinks than plain old water, thus preventing dehydration. An additional bonus: The carbohydrates in sports drinks help fuel active muscles, preventing fatigue and encouraging increased effort.
Cons: Sports drinks are not helpful when you're watching sports on TV, sitting around the pool or enjoying a fast-food burger and fries. Ounce for ounce, sports drinks have about half the calories and sugar of fruit juice or regular soft drinks -- but the calories add up more quickly than you'd think. The message is clear: If you're not exercising, drink water instead. You don't need the electrolytes, and you haven't earned the calories.
FITNESS WATERS
One of the newest beverage categories on the market, fitness waters boast added vitamins and minerals, and often other "functional" ingredients, and have less carbohydrates than traditional sports drinks. A combination of high-fructose corn syrup (the beverage industry's sweetener of choice), crystalline fructose and sugar substitutes such as Splenda keep the carbs and calories low. Reebok Fitness Water has only 30 calories in each 24-ounce serving, and Glacéau Vitaminwater contains a mere 2.5 calories per 8 ounces.Pros: If you can't stand the taste of plain water, fitness waters are a good choice. You won't get a lot of unwanted calories, and the sugar content is minimal. We tend to drink more if a beverage is flavored, so fitness waters may be helpful for those folks who just don't seem to stay hydrated enough.
Cons: Some brands contain high amounts of vitamins or minerals, which means if you drink a lot of these waters, you could go over your daily nutrient needs -- especially if you take a multivitamin. You can easily get all the nutrients in these beverages from food -- and drink regular water to satisfy your thirst. Also, the carbohydrate content of fitness waters is too low to make them beneficial during activity, so stick with your favorite sports drink (like Gatorade or Accelerade) if energy is a concern when you're breaking a sweat.
Hopefully this information answers you question!

QUESTION:
What is the pros and con's of energy drinks?
Information to influence or to cut down comummption of energy drinks.
Why or Why not?
Complete sentences needed.-
ANSWER:
The pros and cons simply come from what makes up the energy. You see in energy drinks such monster, redbull, venom, etc. The energy drink is made up of large amounts of sugar, and taurine(Laboratory form), and caffiene. This causes to the body to experience a temporary "rush/high." So, temporarily it is beneficial I guess. However, the large amounts of sugar, and other such chemicals in these energy drinks are bad for the kidneys.
But energy drinks like the ones I sell called XS Energy drinks, get there energy from natural sources, such as B vitamins. There is zero sugar, zero carbs, and only 8 calories. This energy drink is even safe for diabetics to drink.
So the pros are that they give you energy, when you choose that you are in need of energy.
The cons, if you get the kinds that are made the way that monster, redbull, and etc. are, it can cause health issues. In conclusions, it's simply depends on how the energy drinks are made. There are some that have both pros and cons, monster and etc. And then there are some that only have pros, and no cons, like mine.
Here is my online business website for you to get more information if you want. www.rjohnston9.qhealthbeauty.com (It's under the tab "sports nutrition."
And then of course the official websites for redbull, monster, and etc. for compare and contrast information.
Hope this helps.

Cons - Cannot operate with less than 6 hours of sleep, has attention deficit disorder, does not have patience to read entire books :- I have to wear contacts but that's not a "real" con.
Successes - Made some nice professional-looking charcoal drawings and self-portraits, made employee of the month in April at Wallyworld (yaaay!) I also take good care of my baby brother who has a mobility handicap, so it's like I experience success almost every day as I make him and the folks happy.
Failures - Grade school was tough and I had a hard time socializing with others. Cheated on a test back in high school and was publically humiliated by the teacher. QUESTION:
Energy drinks vs. coffee!?
What are the pros and cons of both.
Which of the coffees is greatest?
What energy drink do you prefer?
Any alternatives to the two that ypu think are better? (other than sleep)-
ANSWER:
Well Coffee only has Caffeine in it so, while it may keep you awake, it won't actually provide you with much energy. Energy Drinks have Caffeine, Guarana, Taurine, B-Vitamins and more. It's no contest in my opinion. I personally like Rockstar Energy Drink. Coffee is much, much cheaper to drink in similiar quantities though, so it does depend on your budget. As far as Coffee goes, Expresso is probably the strongest mainstream option.

QUESTION:
What are the pros/cons of taking Creatine? Either alone or part of supplements like Xyience NOX-CG?
So far, so good. I take it to get the "boost" during workout as well as too aid in recovery. The "boost" is not as substantial as I thought it might be (like ABB or other "energy" drinks), but I have definitely experienced less soreness, and feel like I can go again the next day.-
ANSWER:
Creatine won't just make your muscles larger. You have to follow a strict workout routine and a healthy diet. People think they can take it and go in the gym two times a week and their muscles will get big. That's not how it works. You have to do heavy weights and work all the muscles. Alone with cardio. Creatine works by storing water around the muscles to give the appearance they are bigger. As soon as you stop taking it, the water is used up and your muscles appear to be smaller. Just be sure to drink plenty of water when taking creatine because your water is being stored around your muscles and you can end up dehydrated....

QUESTION:
Which weather would you rather live in? Extreme heat or Extreme cold?
here is some pros and cons i guess
HEAT:
pros-summer time symbol. makes drinks more refreshing.
cons-sweat. drains your energy VERY quicklyCOLD
pros-sleeping gets way more comfy (snuggling in, i guess). snow!?!
cons-numbness and your bones unable to move. iceetc. but is there anything else you hate/like about each condition that would make you live/stay away from?
-
ANSWER:
HEAT. My body seems to stay cool, even in summer. Living in a pre 1900 home, real heat is hard to find as all drafts, even with our energy saving additions, don't help during a long, cold, lonely Winter. That would be a Huge Pro.
The Con and deal breaker, would be that I could not live in my 1887 built structure and all that comes with it (affordability, country air, love of older homes, lower cost of living) just naming a few. Especially I would miss the people who live around us and were born in a Small Town...In the heart of the country.

QUESTION:
What do you think about the pros and cons of coffee?
I was reading my emails this morning and one email I read was about the pros and cons of coffee. It read
Cutting Out CoffeeAre you a one-cup-a-day kinda guy or more like a nine-cups-a-day kinda gal? Coffee is as much part of the average adult’s morning routine as is brushing their teeth. The aroma of a fresh brewed cup ‘o Joe or the taste of a freshly pulled shot of espresso is enough to get anyone out of bed on time, even on a frosty, cold morning…
(this article came from Life Script Health Advantage)
I'm a two cup kinda gal.. Just for the record.
If you keep read this article it reads the pros of coffee said to help with "eased post-workout muscle pain and the combination of caffeine and exercise can reduce the risk of skin cancer.Other findings said three or more daily cups of coffee may aid memory in older women, and drinking five or more cups a day can help prevent Alzheimer’s disease."
The cons: In March 2007, the American Psychiatric Association said more than 250 milligrams of caffeine daily may cause insomnia, irregular heartbeat, muscle spasms, and the inability to concentrate. Other studies indicate that an afternoon power nap is more effective than caffeine at boosting energy levels and improving alertness. And most recently, in January 2008, the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology said that drinking two cups of coffee a day doubles the risk of miscarriage in pregnant women. (See related article: Is Coffee Crashing Your Diet?)
All of the information came from the same article and reading this opened my eyes to how a harmless cup of coffee can do to your body over time. I'm not saying I'm going to stop drinking coffee but that I'll try to drink in moderasion.-
ANSWER:
I think that if anybody bothered to read the entire question, then they are a fool. If you want to drink coffee, drink coffee. If you don't want it, don't drink it.All the BS studies out there are of absolutely no consequence at your breakfast table.

QUESTION:
vaporizer and humidifier same thing also question about energy?
if they aren't the same thing what are the pros and cons for each and which is best for my son's bloody noses. Also i suffer from wht my Dr. calls chronic fatigue syndrom and says there is nothing i can really do about that except take vitimin c and drink orange juice but honestly i have been doing that for years and it does nothing for me so what cani do to have more energy and not be so tired all of the time and i dont want to take anything thats going to make me lose weight like an energy drink
my son is two and gets bloody noses pretty often i keep my heat low so its not so stuffy but thats not working i also put vasaline in his nose to keep it moisturized and the doctor wants to corterize it but i feel he is so young i really don't want to put him through that-
ANSWER:
a vaporizer puts moisture into the air. When you have a cold and itis hard to breathe, a vaporizer with vicks in it helps you breathe. This with just plain water may help your son's bloody noses. Maybe the air is too dry especially if you live in a cold climate and the heat is on all the time. It dries out your nose. A humidifier also adds moisture to the air but I don't know if they are set up to add medicine when you have a cold.
As for your illness the energy drinks can be taken with a meal instead of tea or milk or what ever you usually drink with a meal. Don't know if they would help your problem though. But here is a web site on CFS that may help you

QUESTION:
whats is vitamen b6 and b12 for?
i see that stuff on alot of energy drink so i wana know its
pros and cons.-
ANSWER:
Every body needs B6 and B12 -- but most of us get enough of each in our food -- we only need a very small amount (2mg a day is usually enough). It's not a "fad" nutirional aid, it's a necessary part of human life.Vitamin B12 is considered safe and non-toxic. No toxic or adverse effects have been associated with large intakes of vitamin B12 from food or supplements in healthy people. Vitamin B6 can cause nerve damage in extremely high doses (100mg or more per day).
Vitamin B6:
Hemoglobin within red blood cells carries oxygen to tissues. Your body needs vitamin B6 to make hemoglobin. Vitamin B6 also helps increase the amount of oxygen carried by hemoglobin. A vitamin B6 deficiency can result in a form of anemia that is similar to iron deficiency anemia. B6 also helps to maintain healthy blood sugar levels.
Vitamin B12:
Vitamin B12's primary functions are in the formation of red blood cells, but is also important in maintaining the nervous system. Basically, it keeps the insulation around the nerves nice and healthy. B12 also keeps the process of cell division/growth going smoothly -- which is *especially* important in growing bodies, since there is a ton of growth happening.

Two cups a coffee is perfectly fine. It shouldn't affect your appearance. The only con is drinking after 6pm, because it might keep you awake. Also, drinking more than 2 cups can make you jittery.

QUESTION:
From one unhealthy life to another, maybe?
As is, I eat and drink like blueberry muffins backstroking in rivers of sugar coated strawberry cream cheese. Basically my diet consists of many energy drinks, chickens, some fast food and the occasional home cooked meal. Horrible, yes. After years of that, I am feeling bleh. Now, I don't have a lot of money to get a bunch of healthy food. So I bought the less healthy, 'healthy' stuff. Such as Iceberg lettuce, carrots, green beans, corn, bagels, pasta ingredients, bananas, pb and j, bread, milk, multivitamins, water, apples, etc. etc.
Though I eat like complete crap, I have a 6-pack and a relatively good body. If I eat this 'healthier' diet, will I feel better and have more energy? Be able to go workout without having a heart attack? Etc. Any input on the pros/cons of what I am doing would be helpful.
I do drink skim milk, it's my favorite. I'm glad apples are good. I'll get dark leaved lettuce next time, and use light dressing (since I need something
). For a snack I thought about a peanut butter (low/no fat) and banana sandwich on wheat bread. I do have an Aldis about 7 miles away. I could definitely hit them up.
Oh, and I love beans and eggs are alright I suppose. I will see what I can do with them :p-
ANSWER:
skim milk is no more expensive than 2% and or whole milk. dont eat the bagels unless they are 100% whole grain and then ony eat 1/2 a day, greenleaf lettuce is about the same as iceberg in price next time buy green leaf, i wouldnt eat a whole banana in 1 day eat only half, the apples are perfect, how about eggs, they provide cheap protein as do beans, you can eat healthy without increasing cost, do you have an aldis store in your area, if so check it out. great value for the price. watch out for fructose corn syrup in the bread. sugar is the enemy.

QUESTION:
Could cocaine help you cram for a test?
This is purely a theoretical, but if anyone has any first or second-hand experience that would be helpful too. While I'm sitting here, cramming for my finals, my mind started to wander and I started reading stories about students dealing adderall to other students during finals. This got me wondering if cocaine could help a student when they are trying to pull those long marathon study sessions. Bear in mind, I'm not speaking in terms of long-term health. I'm only wondering if it would help keep a student attentive and also what affect it would have on short-term and long-term memory.
How will the inevitable crash affect the student?
Is the crash avoidable?
Any pros and cons you can think of.
Also, how would cocaine compare to more traditional methods of staying awake and sharp; ie coffee, energy drinks, and other high caffeine products? Over what periods of time would it be most effective? How will being under the influence affect you during a test?
Whatever else you've got.-
ANSWER:
I agree with "just Breathe"- you will not feel like sitting still- much less reading and concentrating on one thing.
I would say limiting distractions, getting rest( I know you think you don't have time for that- but you NEED it),. Eating well
(limit junk food) will help you retain what you study more than drugs.

QUESTION:
why does Green tea help with fertility????
hiya this 1st time ive asked a question but im ttc bout 5/6 months and have often read other peeps questions an have got a lot of good advice of your answers.
Well Ive got a stupid question....... i read that green tea can help a woman with fertility but caffiene is bad for a womans fertility....... does green tea not have caffeine in it then??? or do the pros outweigh the cons!!??? or when u talkin bout caffeine are you just talkin bout coffee an energy drinks etc? lol-
ANSWER:
The caffeine in green tea is not the same as coffee and if you rinse the leaves, there is much less caffeine than in coffee and energy drinks. It has a lot of antioxident properties that outweigh the boost of caffeine. It is also available decaffeinated.I drink green tea all of the time . . . I brew it, dump the pot and brew a second one using the same leaves. This decreases the amount of caffeine dramatically.
Here is what I found about tea as a fertility food for women:
Tea - Green tea and orange pekoe tea are both excellent fertility enhancers. Tea contains a high level of antioxidants which aid in healthy immune systems. Research has shown that women who regularly drink tea increase their chance of conception.
Good luck & baby dust!

QUESTION:
Grad Nite Prep- The Great Dilemma of What to Bring?
Grad Nite at Disney World tonight. My class leaves at 8 o'clock to arrive at Disney around 10 and leave at 4 Am. The great dilemma is what to bring and what to do. Me, being the hater of the concious realm, would like to "escape reality" before arriving at said destination. Granted, I'll be bringing the necessities in a small purse (cell phone, money, ID, etc) but I'm contemplating what I should "do" to keep myself "happy" for the rest of the night. Here are the things I have to work with:
40 Adderall 30 mg XR pills
1 Quarter Ounce of Marijuana
1 Jolt! Blue Energy Drink
The possibility of buying some sort of energy shot? You can see the problem. Alcohol is not an option- I hate it and if the chaperone suspects anyone has been drinking she'll breathalize us before we get on the bus. Drug dogs and friskers will be at Disney so doing anything when I get there is out of the question. Will list pros and cons in details.
Pros of Adderall: Keeps up and speedy all night, slight sense of euphoria, lasts for a good 8-12 hours.Cons: I have high blood pressure and Adderall pumps it up VERY high. It also makes one pee a lot, which can be very annoying in a theme park setting. I don't want to stroke out or pee myself. Also involves "The Fear"
Pros of Marijuana: Smoke it when I'm home, relaxes me, convenient.
Cons: Makes me tired, Also involes "The Fear"
Pros of Caffeine: Perks me up, not too hard on the body, easy to get, can be taken in the park.
Cons: High blood pressure, pee a lot, and no euphoria. Also- Crash.
Now, let the debate begin.
Cons: Makes me sleepy, lethargic, and-
ANSWER:
the energy drinks and soda would def be the best bet...i wouldnt take anything that could get you in trouble because it will ruin grad nite...dont forget your camera....take lots of pics....

QUESTION:
Am i destined to have ADD for life?
I'm 16
male
and very scared.
I'm quite an Intelligent person, but something is holding me back, ADD
I've had ADD my whole life but have never seen anyone about itI am so fidgety it's untrue. The moment i sit down i start moving my fingers and tapping and moving about in my seat and rocking back and forth and biting my lip and grinding my teeth and looking around the room.
I lose my focus and get distracted very easily
I get startled easily because i'm usually in my own little world, so when someone taps my shoulder i'll jump a mile in the air.
I drift in and out of conversations all the time
I get stressed and offended very easily
I lose interest in things and get bored all the time
I seem to be argumentative
I usually act before i think about the pros and cons of something
I misplace things all the time, and then accidentally find them weeks later in stupid places ( today i found my wallet under a pile of DVDs i never watch)
I've done these things all my lifeI've just left school and have majorly underachieved
I'm capable of A's but instead have got C's or below
My school reports have had the same words written in them year after year "Inconsistent"I'm starting to get worried because i'm 16 and still have ADD!!!
most people grow out of it when they reach their teens!
Why haven't i grown out of it?
It's starting to rule my life!
Is it time to get help from professionals?I don't want to take drugs every day for the rest of my life!
Someone from the USA suggested that i drink Mountain Dew to help me focus.
I've never seen a bottle of Mountain Dew in my life. Is it an energy drink like Red Bull? Many people say having ADD is a gift, How is it a gift?
Someone please help?
is it too late for me to grow out of ADD?-
ANSWER:
Well hello ther' pardner.ADD, actually sounds alot what I've been through. Its like having the luggage but not the transportation. Mom actually sent me to get evaluated last May. Did alot of testing & it became tiring. I'm not gonna say I have ADD cos I dont officially know. I know what you mean though. Things are sooooo frustrating!! I once forgot my cell phone in a flower pot. I was like wtf? In fact I misplaced it last night. But at the end of the day, I just learn to laugh at myself.
I have actually experienced ALOT of school problems. Every year, I always have a predicament..thats teacher related. It's like a never ending cycle. I couldve been on varsity in basketball! But the coach saw that I never paid attention to learning to plays & put me on JV. Which felt unfair cos I couldnt help it. I tried but things dont come easily to me as I'd like. Do I think I am smart? HELL YES! I do, but just very scatterbrained. But I learn to embrace it cos its the person I am. I'm random, spontaneous, crazy & geniune. I learnt to love my personality.
ADD people see out of another spectacle. They naturally think in ways other people cannot. They're such innovators & have creative energy. People always tell me how creative I am, though I dont see it like they do. They tell me I am able to make things out of nothing. In english class, I do so awesome in my essays because I tell what I see from the world. I get awesome feedbacks & cos of that, it really builds my confidence.
Do not be afraid. You may have it, but dont let it conquer you. Be proud that your intelligent & you know it. What I did to tell my mom, which was not a piece of cake for me cos she's stubborn & can be closeminded, I wrote her a letter about what I was experienceing & how serious I was about wanting to get past the troubles. Later that week, she called a pysch to come help me. So maybe you can do the same. Just tell her how much you would love to overcome this & how its affecting you. Tell her your not looking for an excuse, tell her you just want to become better. Though I have not been officially diagnosed, I dont care to be. I just want to be confident in what I do & be able to be attentive in as much as I can.
Just tell her you hope she understands.
Hope I helped & if you ever need a buddy, my pal, just shoot me an email!

QUESTION:
Does anyone regularly juice out there?
Would you recommend it? What are the pros and cons?
I have bad eating habits, and I hate vegetables, so I figure it will be easy to sneak some veggies into a fruit drink.
I am looking to improve my energy, skin, and weight. Thanks!-
ANSWER:
You are doing the right thing so that you can get your portions of fruit and vegetables. Being that you are white, you have very thin skin that is easily damaged by both the sun and harmful agents like tobacco. We all age but some much slower that others. My mother was 93 when she died and she had not one wrinkle on her face. In addition to having a natural sun block, she took very good care of her skin and her body. There is something called aloe vera gel that you can purchase at the health food store. Get some and apply it to your skin morning and night. There is a Japanese tea called Kombucha that you can either culture yourself or buy at the health food store. Drink that and you will keep your body in an acid state and also keep probiotics in your body. Acid ph in your body is known to discourage diseases, including cancer. See if you can, stay away from meat, especially red meat. When you eat meat, you not only have to deal with your own poison, but you deal with the poison ingested by the animal. Stay out of the sun. Your own skin is beautiful enough and does not need to be burned and damaged by tanning. If you like that color, do it by using sunless tanning products. Finally, make sure your diet includes plenty of good oils like those found in olives, nuts, seeds of all kinds and avocados. I wish you a healthy future, Good Luck.

QUESTION:
If you had the opportunity to become a vampire, would you seriously take it?
Think about it all. A true, blood sucking REAL vampire, YOU becoming one. If you looked at the pros and cons, pros such as:
-Immortality
-Being extremely strong
-Being extremely fast
-Extremely intelligent
-Having an excuse to run around at night (well, that's a pro for me, I <3 the night and the moon XD)And cons like:
-For teenagers and children, never being able to grow up EVER
-Possibly never being able to have children, start a family
-Having to constantly drinking peoples' blood to stay alive and be able to be stay mentally and physically healthy (though you're already DEAD...)
-Being seen as a monster by most
-Never being able to step out into even the slightest bit of sunlight
-Seeing your loved ones, your most cherished friends DIE and seeing that you will live on forever, suicide extremely painful...Really people, would you HONESTLY do this?
And I realize from what people have told me there are two "breeds" of vampire: those that suck blood and those that suck energy to stay alive.
If I was given this opportunity I would probably be thinking of it the rest of my life... And probably not want to be a vamp at the end... And I know its impossible, but still, would you take it?

Element Riddle Homework Help?
I have this stupid homework that I can't seem to figure out. I think my science teacher hates me! Or my class...Well here are some riddles if you could please help me out:
1. Greenish yellow in color, used in bleach, drinking water, PVC pipes(that's logical) or in WWI as the world's first war gas
2. This relatively recent addition to the table does not occur naturally, it was discovered in the all-burnt-up debris analyzed from the first H-bomb explosion ( the energy of which was equal to the mass lost times the speed of light squared)
3. Make your silly list of pros and cons: Bill Gates, Cinderella, & some top-notch super models all owe their good fortune to this metalloid
last one
4. This shiny nonmetal gives off purple vapors; at blood donor centers, this goes in, and in Ohio, diner and restaurant owners add it to their salt.

QUESTION:
SAHMs - What are the benefits of staying at home?
I'm debating wether or not to become a SAHM myself,I'm trying to weigh up the pro's and cons of it all, but so far the cons out weigh the good.
If you haven't seen any of my previous posts, I'm a nurse in an accident and emergency dept of a hospital, I work 4 days on 4 days off, in 12 hour shift. I can't cut my hours as I am on a contract
The Pros so far :-
I would get to spend a lot more time with the kids.
I could fire our cleaner cause I'd have more energy to do it myself
I'd have more energy
I wouldn't have to deal with stupid immature teenager who have mixed drink with drugs and come in throwing up all over me EVERY WEEKEND!!
I'd have more time with my Partner,Cons:-
We would lose a huge chunk of our income
It would take longer to pay off the mortgage
At the moment we have 3 cars (I have my own, we have a family car, and my partner has his car)
We'd have to get rid of at least one of them
We wouldn't have as much money and have to tighten our belts a bitDon't get me wrong, even though my job can be difficult at times, I absolutely love it. But I love my children more (obviously), but Sometimes I feel I'm missing out on some aspects of their lives,
So what should I do??
Advice would be appreciated from those who have been there!
Forgot to add, My kids are 7, 6 and 4 but we will be trying for another in a couple of years.-
ANSWER:
I have been a SAHM since January 2007. I have three kids (ages 9, 5, and 19 months). It is easier staying home than having to juggle the family life and working and my life is way less hectic. We have sacrificed me staying home (less money to waste). Other than that we are good on one income. We still eat out (I hate cooking every day), go shopping, go on dates, vacations, and pay all of our bills off.I do WANT to go back to work after my son is bigger. I don't live around family and friends (we relocated a few months ago for my hubby's job) Once all of my kids are in school I don't want to be home because I will die of boredom.
Seriously, this is a decision that you will have to make for what is best for you. I don't regret staying home with my children for what will be a few more years. Once I do work (being a Teacher) my husband and I plan to still LIVE off of my husband's income and my income will be solely for paying off the mortgage, retirement, children's college, and future traveling. As a Teacher, I still have my summers with my children.
Children grow so fast. The downside about SAHM is missing adult interaction. I said that I would not miss it-- no way!! However, 3 years later I do kind of miss it. But, not enough to make me go look for a job now. I am content with my life and my role right now in the family. I feel truly blessed.
I would suggest you save your emergency fund (about 6 months of living expenses) before you quit. You are in a wonderful profession so if you do make the decision to quit, I am confident that you will find a job with your experience once you decide to return to the workforce.
Good Luck and Best Wishes!!
** I forgot to mention pay off any debt (credit cards and car notes) before you decide to quit. I did that as well and I am SO happy I did!

QUESTION:
Just need some diet advice..?
Well, i'm going on a diet. I have been for a month and two people have said i've slimmed but i don't think so. I've just been cutting down alot of fat, halfing my meals, trying to drink more water idk i wouldn't classify it as a proper diet but it is compared to how i use to eat. I've been considering going on the cabbage diet but it seems there's more con's then pro's about that fad diet. And i was just wondering about the low down on Calories, Carbohydrates, Fat total, Sugars.. i don't know what to look at anymore. Use to just fat, now it's fat & sugar and how many Calories should you really have? And what are Kj too (Energy i know...) But how do they relate to Carbohydrates? And what would we a suitable thing to replace cabbage XD. My friend suggested speghetti cos you get more full + more fiber so is that not a carbohydrate?.. Aka something harder to burn off. I don't know, help?-
ANSWER:
The best way to lose weight, apart from regular exercise, it to eat a fist sized meal of food. Basically make a fist infront of you. That is roughly the size of your stomach. Hold it by your stomach if you dont believe me. If you eat 3 square meals a day, the same size as your fist, that should be enough for you to eat whatever you want and still keep the kilo's off. If your overweight, your body will adjust to a normal healthy size. If you eat less than that, you will lose weight but you wont have the energy to get through the day. This is quite dangerous if done over long periods, dont do it. If you want to put on weight, eat more than 3 fistfuls. Simple. All the calories, carbs, recommended fibre/sugar intake, fat totals, blah blah blah it's all utter rubbish spouted by psuedo-intellectuals on the subject. Truth is if one of them knew what they were on about they'd be rich by now and you'd be losing weight on their diet. Ignore it.
And especially if you're told to cut down on sugar. Your brain needs all forms of sugar to operate properly. If that is tampered with it will affect your mental abilites & the functioning of your entire body. Your brain has a greater control over your body than you think. Eat sugar when your body craves it, you do need it. As the old saying goes "Mens sana in corpore sana" or "a healthy mind in a healthy body." Don't feel 'guilty'. Attitude plays a huge part in keeping healthy.
Just maintain an easy, fun exercise regime & a balanced diet of good, solid food based on the 3 fist sized intake Ive suggested and you should be fine.

QUESTION:
How to get over the blah feeling risperdal gives me?
I can't stop taking it because there are more pro's than con's with this medicine. I take 6mg for schizophrenia, and sometimes it makes me really emotionless (especially when I only get like 5 and a half hours of sleep.) This experience is happening today. I leave a bad impression on people when they are talking to me because I can't feel the way they feel and give a good response. Example: If someone is talking about going to visit there boyfriend. I can't respond in a happy tone I can't say "omg thats awesome, I'll come with you to get a present for him since his birthday is coming up" with a smile on my face. I'm more like "oh, cool" then left blank on what to say. I would like to say that but it's like I don't have any energy and I am just blah even with eating healthy and taking vitamins. I can no longer have a piece of chocolate or a desert because it adds on to that blah feeling, too. I try my best getting up for classes, going to the gym, and having a normal eating schedule and I still feel blah, and I have people asking me why am I so blah. It bothers me because I do everything right, don't drink, don't do drugs, eat healthy, and I still give the impression that I am stoned. My friend told me a couple of weeks ago that I looked stoned. I know for a fact I look different when I am on medicine. I don't look healthy, I watched people on Youtube who are on risperdal, and they look the same way if not worse than me. I've been like this for 2 years now, and it's getting worse because I'm constantly raising the dose of my medicine.
to optical: i tried coming off this too and i got deathly sick and started to have visual hallucinations, talked to myself, couldnt sleep, and heard voices on occasion. the medicine just hasn't been the same since i weaned myself almost totally off of it. i got to .25mg, and gave in to take it again. i asked my psychiatrist and therapist if i can switch meds but they have the delusion that it's helping me lol, and you can't disagree with professionals. so i'm left stuck and a little depressed. "I just want to celebrate, live my life saying ayyy ohhh gotta let go!" "- Dynamite, Taio Cruz.
I have erratic sleep too, but if I were to go off the medicine because of the side effect of my body finding all ways to get dopamine. (Meaning I look for it in my sleep, and my brain goes on dopamine overload giving me very vivid nightmares where I hallucinate, taste, and touch too) but anyways, if I were to go off it because of that reason, i wouldnt be able to pay attention in class with only functioning on one hour of sleep, and i would be stuck in my head, talking to myself in between classes. so as you see my life wouldn't be livable so i need the medicine. got any advice on how to convince my psychiatrist to let me go on a new med?-
ANSWER:
I take olanzapine (12.5mg). I feel depressed because I'm tired all the time, but don't sleep properly. I tried coming off it, but got really ill. So I get what you are saying. You just have to keep on fighting that low feeling. It's a continual struggle, but that's all you can do. Have you thought of trying some other medication? That might work for you. Didn't for me, but they say that we are all different.Well then, it looks like you are stuck. But look at it this way... At least you can sleep. When I came off the olanzapine I had voices so loud that it stopped me from sleeping and not only that, I was too scared to sleep anyway because I thought someone was going to steal my soul if I did (if I did sleep). Yeah, pretty crazy, but that's schizophrenia for you. Or the long term effect of being on anti-psychotics for years on end, and then trying to go cold turkey. Take your pick. But let me say that now I am back on the stuff, at least I can get some sleep (even if it is erratic). So I 'll settle for that.

If you want a good overall product for improving performance, stamina, strength, muscle size and recovery then you should try Bulldozer XL5000. It also contains BCAAs, glutamine in addition to Creatine, Beta alanine and Citrlline Malate. It also has Carnitine (Carnitine-L-Tartrate) and Glycine. Overall the product delivers; they do not use proprietary blends like 99% of the products out there, no fillers or binders and very pure. I am a martial artist and bodybuilder so I need a product that can help me with stamina, improve my recovery a lot since I want to avoid catabolism (breaking down the muscle) and improve anabolism (building muscle). Thus far, this is my favorite product and live by it (since it has everything I need it is great if you travel a lot since you only to take one product instead of many) in addition to taking high potency fish oil, digestive enzymes and antioxidants.
