     Energy drinks contain extra vitamins and minerals for your body along with the caffeine type energy boost they provide, so not only is your brain more active and responsive due to the caffeine but your body is receiving more nutrients to help with any activities you do. Of course you never want to drink more than 2 a day, as too much caffeine or similiar substance is bad for your body.

   I had one can of V engery drink and now have a really upset stomach, anyone else had this? could it be the garuana or caffiene?

     It is more than likely to be the caffeine, you may not even have this problem in coffee or tea but because of the large amounts found in energy drinks, it can play havoc with your stomach and perhaps expose an underlying intolerance, I would suggest you go and visit your doctor, because this could be a problem as you get older and caffeine isn't too healthy anyway.

   I left V energy drink and Gatorade in a beaker over the weekend and they formed bacteria. What is it?
   It's for a chemistry experiment (testing carbonate dioxide) but they both formed this white goop with little black specs in the drinks. Coke and diet coke didn't or maybs we jst couldn't c any bacteria. Anyway what's this bacteria called so i can include it in my discussion. Thanks

     Dude...uh that could be many aerobic bacterias. I get what you're saying because I had something similiar...but you have to do one of those scratch plates made out of agar to get you're identity.

   Yea I wrapped it up in a plastic bag (to stop MOST of the air getting in/out).

     It's never a good idea to leave an open can in the refrigerator or anywhere, because the oxygen in the air combines with the metal in the can and the food or drink. Perhaps it won't kill you but it's not good for your body. If you want to leave half of a can of food or drink just transfer it to a glass container.

      u have to use an indicator, litmus for this or u can use the titration way....choose a solution with a known pH then start add it to V energy drink and plus drop an indicator inside of the solution..the draw a diagram amount of know solution over pH and then whereever u get a vertical line based on the change of the color of the solution it means u have ur pH on that rate

    I know that its 190kj per 100ml for the normal V and only 1.7kj for the sugarfree.

      The caffeine and sugar in energy drinks throws off your body chemistry and essentially causes your body to rid itself of all excess water. And you get rid of that excess water by peeing. That's why excessive caffeine and sugary drinks can cause severe dehydration if you don't supply your body with enough water to drink along with them.

      YOU can cause your heart to go into palpatations, which is beating extra fast thats from all the caffine in that you have taken in, I have seen people in the hospital from doing to same thing you are thinking about doing. Its not a smart thing to do.

The voice seems to echo, and in comes a drum beat and a bass-line. I'm thinking that a car nearby must have just turned on their music stupidly loud, I keep on staring at the window. For some reason I'm unable to look away, I'm fixated, by choice, of course. The voice says it again, and again "Okay! Okay!". Soon the word morphs into the word "hello" and a shadow comes up to the window and puts itself against it, the sides of the window expand and I am engulfed inside it. I feel like I am stuck there for an eternity. I then realise I am still walking down the street with my friend and we are about 20 metres away from the window. I continued to hallucinate, but not that intense for the rest of the night.
    Any explanations?
    I have taken marijuana many times before, but nothing had ever happened like this before until I drank the drink. And yes, it was hash/resin.

      Energy should come from what you eat not what you drink. The main ingredient in Gatorade is sodium (salt) and the main ingredient in Red Bull is caffeine. All energy drinks are bad for you.

      If you want natural energy then eat right - especially vegetables high in vitamin B12.

      You get wet baking soda.

      Actually, the baking soda will dissolve to form sodium ions and bicarbonate ions in solution.

      I believe these drinks to be carbonated. Therefore adding bicarbonate ions to the mix will shift the equilibrium of the solution which is saturated in CO2 and cause some of the dissolved CO2 to come out of solution. Therefore you should see some bubbles forming.

      Beer is healthier than Energy Drinks in that it is less processed and has a natural source. In regards to quantity and consumption through time, Beer is worse for the liver due to the alcohol content. Energy Drinks are worse for your digestive system and system in general because the "crash effect" and all the crap (processed chemicals, dyes, high sugar content, etc.) in it.

      And to answer your question about energy drinks, they are not regulated by the FDA because they are considered to be in a category of supplements; that is, they are generally "natural" medicines that don't make any claims about curing any disease/disorder/condition. They are loaded with unnecessary amounts of caffeine, guarana and taurine (both of which contain very high amounts of caffeine), sugar, and food additives.
