What Energy Drink Works The Best

In February 2010, a few people in the UK got wind of some quite remarkable energy tools in the UK that were made by a company called Amega, who has their Head Office in Singapore.

Although I didn't want to try the 5 hour ones, because I didn't just drink them just for the energy, but for the taste as well, the 5 hour drinks actually work well. But I liked Lost the best, just because of the taste.

      5 Hours is the best. Most energy drinks are loaded with sugar,especially Monster drink. 5 hour energy gives you energy for 5 hour straight with no side effects and you will not experience sugar crash.

      1) a drink called V (i checked the back it has 36mg/100ml) its the highest ive come across

      2) personally, red bull.. thought lucozade orange is good. if you want a change though powerade is more flavour intensive.

      3) powerade, as it is an isotonic drink. these replace the lost of sodium which occurs during exercise. though if you want energy, lucozade original works best.

      NoDoz helps, as does any energy drink, coffee especially.

      My favorite drinks though are GURU (http://www.caffeineguru.com/reviews/guru-natural-energy) which is organic and comes in a low sugar form; I also like NOS (http://www.caffeineguru.com/reviews/nos) which has a lot of caffeine. Also, Monster Heavy Metal (http://www.caffeineguru.com/reviews/monster-heavy-metal) packs a nice kick! How much caffeine you need depends on your body, experiment to find the best amount. I would suggest coffee, as there will be less of a crash.

Bodyfat is stored energy, if you use the sugar in the drink your bodyfat stays right where it is (on your abs). Look at the labels Powerade contains like 250 calories, thats a lot for just a drink, water contains 0 calories. An average workout for 30 minutes only burns about 300 calories or less, drinking an energy drink after that pretty much negates all the effort. Water is a life giving substance, please lay off the sugar, ESPECIALLY after a workout, I turn to oatmeal because it is digested slowly and provides energy over an extended period of time and it contains proteins and other nutrients to feed and repair your muscles after a workout. An energy drink will cause your body to "crash" after a short while and you will feel tired.
      Dont consume anymore sodium, contrary to what some people say, sodium is in pretty much everything we eat, we dont need any more its makes you retain water, water is heavy, its weighs you down and makes you look pudgey. WATER drink water with no salt in it, your not gonna lose that much salt in a workout. Maybe if you were working out outside in the blazing sun for an hour I would recommend salt in your water but I dont think this is the case.WATER.

      I'm frustrated at the fact that so many people are so willing to take pills or recommend them to mess up their bodies just to drop some pounds, what happens when you stop taking the pills? You start to gain weight. Are you going pay for these pills forever? These pills may have a higher cost than you may think. Do it naturally, I am and im 30% of the way to my goal in 37 days. Going from 230lbs to 160 lbs is alot easier than I thought but It takes perseverance not drugs. Anyone who suggest drugs or pills or some kind of drink is probably getting a commission for getting someone to sign up for their "magic potion".

      I personally think that its different for everyone. Ive been using them for years, (since Hanson's, remember that?) and they have all pretty much worked well for me. I prefer green monster, AMP, and also, Rip-it, which, for the record, tastes awesome, works well, and only costs a little over , which is a steal for the size of can it is.

      BTW: Ive heard a few things about that 5-hour energy shot, like that it does work, but you would probably want to try the flavor available other than berry, because i guess the berry flavor sucks.

      As a consistant consumer of energy drinks, I would recommend "No Fear" made by the Sobe company. It's my favorite and go to. Generally what you want to look for is a high level of B vitamins. Those will give you a huge energy boost, without much of the crash. Caffeine of course works very well, but you have to keep it in your system or you'll crash.

      Also, make sure you keep relatively active, keeping your blood flowing. Healthy bloodflow improves awareness and staves off the pangs of sleep. Light massage (Temples and along the eyebrow) works very well. And drink lots of water! B vitamins will dehydrate you, and water jump starts your metabolism. Not to mention frequent bathroom breaks will keep ya awake too XD

      Coffee. It has 2-3x the caffeine of most energy drinks and only has 2 calories per cup. If you really want a jump start, Robusto coffee has even more caffeine (2x) that of the better Arabica beans. The only problem would be that it's more bitter & will need milk & sugar. It will still be better for you than any soda or energy drink.

      No energy drink can last all day. I got tired of all the caffeinated energy drinks and their marketing schemes. Rockstar and Monster worked great except they sometimes made me jittery as well as energized. Plus I didn't like the fact that there was so much sugar. So I tried some sugar-free energy drinks, and they tasted horrible!

      I found an energy drink called ZipFizz. It's very nice because it doesn't have sugar, but it still tastes all right. It's not actually a drink that comes in a can, but a powder in a small plastic vial that comes in packs of 20. Very nice because they are portable and you don't need to keep them cool, (since energy drinks taste horrendous when warm!) and you can pop them in a cup of water whenever you need a quick boost from caffeine *without* the jitteriness that comes from too much sugar. If I take it between meals, I can get a good 4 or 5 hours of energy. There is 100 mg of caffeine in each serving. I introduced it to my friend, and he is a huge fan as well. I suggest citrus and pink lemonade flavors. Stay away from the berry one. :)

      I would rather you to sleep more, then ruining your body with energy drinks. Energy drinks just makes your body more exhausting day by day when you use it. Give your body a rest, and stop drinking energy drinks, and do the work on your own strength.     I work almost all day so I like to drink alot of energy drinks. I've tried red bull, rock star, monster and full throttle but so far the best was no fear-gold by sobe. The best tasting was monster but I don't care about the taste.
    I tried vault too. It's the best tasting but the weakest of all of the energys I've tried. When I'm working I couldn't care less about taste.
    I would like to get some actual statistics. Which one has the most caffeine, taurine and all that other energy drink crap.

      Either the 5 hours energy drinks so you dont get a "crash"...or a Monster Energy drink. The truth is..no energy drink is "good for you"...so a cup of coffee is probably your best bet.

      Water. Energy drinks have too much sugar and just give a false sense of energy. Your body needs water to hydrate itself, sugar in energy drinks just dehydrate you which can be a big problem after a strenuous workout. Flavor your water with some lemon juice if you need to.

    I like to stay up late and play mw2 on my hdtv, but i find redbull, monster, rockstar, bawls, and the other popular ones dont work great for me to stay up late and have kick ass reflexes and concentration. Has anyone tried the rockstar energy shot? Or 5 hour energy for gaming? Or perhaps ANY energy shot? I downed a 7 hour power by redline, and i went to sleep and hour after drinking it. Waste of 3.00.       Do this, I went this years E3 conference with all of my friends and we brought our systems to the place where we stayed to stay up all the nights playing game

      Just grab a extra large pizza, make it extra spicy, then get a shit load of cokes,mountain dew's whatever, mix it all in one huge bowl and then keep drinking it with the pizza. Its a milion times better than red bull and those "energy drinks" scams. Also remember to get chewing gun. For some reason chewing gum keeps you up so much.

      Anyways, with this "formula" we literally stayed up 2 days straight. It'll run you maybe 30 bucks but its worth it!

      Fuze Energize. It doesn't have any caffeine in it. Instead it's got ginseng, Siberian Guarana, Vitamins B6, B12, C.       Instead of energy drinks I would try taking vitamin b complex (but make sure you eat a good meal before taking the vitamins)

      Have a cup of herbal tea containing ginseng or ginkgo biloba. The herbs naturally minimize the negative effects of stress hormones and fortify those all-important adrenals, leaving you with more energy to cope. Look for teas whose labels tout their stress-relieving benefits.

      ave a power snack when you can, a quarter cup mixed nuts and some yogurt will help sustain your energy. It is low in sugar but high in protein and healthy fat, this combo digests slowly, giving you a slight energy surge without knocking your blood sugar out of whack.

      If you really want the energy drinks I would try the 5 hour energy, it seems like the one with the least negative side effects.
